    Hey people,

im sure many of you tested the recently washed ashore Reverbs. Im quite unsure what to think.

Lexicon PCM was really nice because i felt especially the large hall had a real feeling to it Compared to the others it sounded more real to my ears. But now the seven heavens is really awesome too! I made a few comparisons but they are both just so nice sounding.
I know: "just use both" "trust you ears" but i just wanted to know what you think, what you tested on what sources and what's your personal favourite for what purpose

You´re right, the old PCM still sounds great among the new releases, but as it´s said in my town, with new saints the older don´t make miracles. Anyway I prefer to keep Cinematic Rooms and Sonsig along with Lexicon update, the hype with 7th Heaven didn´t move me too much and less with 9 gigs of weight.

P.S I forgot to mention the new Shimmer Verb from Eventide, a beauty.

My list, the rank is based on the amount of fun I get from spending time with them

    1. Goldplate - so much tonal shaping possibility, and im a sucker for smashed reverb with saturation, I always have that one SEND in my mix with reverb and that awesome Klanghelm compressor, but now, it is in one plugin.

    2. Illusion - i like the tweak-ability, good sounding yet so simple, it feels enough, feels a lot like Valhallas that I already like for that specific reason, you can do all weird shits to it, and still sounding good.

    3. Sonsig Rev A - HI-FI SOUNDING! Impressive modern reverb! Shinny shimmery. Don't know where I will use it, but I think it will improve dull tracks.

    4. TSAR-1R - as simple as it gets. Sooo friendly and nice to something that already has a reverb on it. I see this is a very good choice to use with "samples" or "loop" that 90% of the time already have some kind of reverb.

    5. PCM Native - it is a reverb. It is good. Industry standard good. Yeah the halls are unbeatable.

    6. Slate Verbsuite - newer version has a browser. I love the ability to compare with numbers of classic reverbs in one plugin. I always add this first to a snare, then find which "classic reverb" I like for the snare. No particular reason, I just do that, for few years already now.

    7. Heaven - arguably the best reverb ever sampled! I like the character of the reverb. It feels natural. The room presets are magical (Studio A-E).

    EDIT: add some details

Easy choice for me, Lustrous Plates by Liquidsonics, It's really my type, really 3D sound, easy and fast to use, streamlined interface, built in EQ, just perfect to my taste, even better sounding than the infamous 7th heaven in my opinion. Unfortunatelly it just don't work for me unless I keep the GUI open all the time.

As a second choice I would keep the Cinematic Rooms, cause it sounds pretty acoustic, I can inmagine people that produce acoustic tracks or scoring really digging that one.

    Only tried 3 recently
TC 8210 (not exactly new but I haven't tested it until lately) - Really beautiful reverb for big and lush spaces with character, very three dimensional
SSL FlexVerb - Very similar to the TC, I was pretty surprised by it.
Goldplate - Sounds nice, kinda hard to control, has its own particular flavour that doesn't fit everything.

I'm not big on IR reverbs (apart from FX type shit), so my opinions have not changed and I don't really need more reverbs to confuse me further.

But I'll add this thing, Lexicon Random Hall is still the shit, I've not heard anything to top that for big algo halls.

    In order of preference:

    Classic clean standard reverb:

    - Lexicon PCM native
    - Tsar
    - Valhalla

    for more vintage sounding:

    - Arturia Plate 140
    - Aliverb (for all the springs, ams, and exotic things)
    - Psp Springbox (wich is actually not a really "good" emulation if i compare to my hardware spring verb, but actually place the sound exactly where i want it.
    and last but not least...

Synapse Legend FX on any synth is just perfect. i know this one was probably inexpected, but the reverb is just great.

Exclusively from the recent wave: Cinematic Rooms is absolutely killer, also the purple relab and the other relab that is not the lexicon emu... oh yeah and goldplate by kush... which is also made by relab.

For the last few years, I have been using the H Reverb from Waves and the Plates from UVI and I was happy with both of them but now I started to use Liquidsonic Illusions.

    Same as they've always been:

    Relab LX480 (now in AAX!)
    Lexicon Native PCM

I also like the 2 newer Relab ones, good to finally have access. I also use/like verbs from the Eventide bundle and have for a while (SP2016, TVerb etc)

I don't like convo/IR verbs so am not even going there.

I only tried the Relab which I like ( which replaced the buggy older version) and ditched Liquisonic Illusion. It's all just personal taste and which side of the bed I fell onto I guess. None of them are gonna suck.

Relab TC electronic Emulation is great! 3D!
    ARturia plate for vintage plate
    Lexicon for Halls.
Verbsuite for Bricasti M7 (I was more impressed with it than 7th heaven)
Denise Room for 3D room but I dont know if it was released and repacked yet
