    I have a Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox.

    It sounds like this:

There are no VST that sound anywhere near a real talkbox. But vocoders are quite cool too, and there are loads of good vsts for that purpose :) Just get Native Instruments Monark going for the signal, and use any vocoder really.

If you want the real thing you had better to get one!! it costs like a medium plug in! you can't crack it however! :bleh:

  5. I used to use one until it vibrated a filling out one of my teeth. Vocoders are less prone to do this.

May not be what you are looking for but, here is something.
Bitspeek by Sonic Charge. And Melodyne.

1st use Bitspeek on your vocal. Don't track the pitch, kill it. Make it sound as dirty as you can.
2nd Render that vocaltrack, import it back into your project.
3rd Use something like Celemony Melodyne to put vocals back to the correct pitch. With pitchbends and such.

Boom. You kinda sound like Daft Punk.
Hope this gets you closer to what u want.

Try Sonic Charge Permut8. Sounds brilliant and so authentic! Bitspeak is too rudimentary, but it can do cool stuff as well. But Permut8 is da shit. :)

Catnaps what are you on? Gimmie some.

The Talk Box jr is as close as you are going to get if you want to uses a plugin otherwise you are going to have to use a yamaha dx100 keyboard Like Catnaps suggested i use a ROLAND Super VJ 1080 With a custom Saw Patch i made from a stock patch that i tweaked thats as close as i can get with out having a DX 100

The Talk Box jr sounds are taken from the yamaha dx100

You can import the sysex patches from the dx100 directly into the FM7 plugin.

(The actual C is C patch is available @ KVR)

Then just build yourself a talkbox with a DU54 horn tweeter, 40-80w PA amp, and some vinyl tubing from the hardware store (total about $100 usd...even less if you find a amp from a thrift store) and you are ready to get your Troutman on my dude!

Sir, that is absolutely genious. Having a talkbox, i wouldn't need it, but i'm certain one can get some wild vocals going on with this method.
    I'm gonna try this!
