Access Violation errors could be a cause of some issues. Got that error when trying to change patches in PSP 608 MultiDelay v1.7.2 .
Took ownership of C:\Program Files\PSPaudioware & unchecked read only in property settings. Can now changed patches in Pro Tools without crashing.

I normally do this after installing software but got lazy & paid the price.

Even the big names who are using heavy stuff in their projects always rendering the processed tttracks to audio.
For example if you work with Softube Modular just when you achieve your desired sound make the melody and render it to audio.
No one is keeping these heavy hitting stuff in their projects open.
The other good thing about getting rid of your VST/VSTis in your project and rendering them to audio track only is that it's gonna limit you and you'll finish your song much more faster because once you rendered it to audio there's no more messing around tweaking the millions of parameters which fucks you up.

 

Well...I don't get any dialogue box about the acess violation, @quadcore64. PT just crashes and quit so a "send to Avid - crash report" window shows up.
What I found is that error is more often when I quit PT at once. If I close the session first and then exit PT, sometimes it goes out as usual.
But again, just when I got the news softube plugs running. Any other plugin does not make this happen. I did a fresh PT install yesterday but that error still is here.
There are some updates today on Sister Site...let's see how it goes.

Understood. Was just pointing out that access right to folders & files in Windows are the cause of many problems. Not all but many.
Then there is the Virtual C++ runtime, distributables & Microsoft vs vendor driver issues.

The most important is your system hardware along with BIOS & OS settings along with any tweaks.

 

I just put 10 Softube Tape plugins on my master didn't slow down.

Hi, the new release of console 1 will crash my Ableton
vst2 crash when scanning new plugins and blocklisted... vst3 crash in daw
every single plugin of Softube is ok but console 1
maybe it's because I don't have the hardware?
anyone experiencing this too?

 

Win10 Ableton 10, Reaper 6 - everything works good. BTW I delete all that consoles after playing with them ~30 min

Try to update all kind of drivers, like video drivers, sound, also install all versions of Visual C++.

You can also try to open them in other DAW, maybe something wrong with ableton

 

Did you replace the files?

 

I’ve checked both in Studio One 5.1 and Reaper 6 , AmpRoom crashes while closing the amp window.Both vst2 and vst3..Anybody experienced that or any suggeations?

test it with studio one and reaper too... not working. maybe its an alert for having too many console emulation plugin and not using them :D

Seems to be working now, @quadcore64!!! After that permission setting on the softube folder the issue seems to be gone!
I also checked the PSP issue. Had the same problem changing the patches. I fixed that too! I wanna thank you for this too!
