I think I had it working some time ago (i have now a legit license), make sure to block the presonus server's at router level.

It works.
Make sure that the device, you're having the remote on, is not calling home.
So you can either add presonus.com in your host file or if you have good Wifi or Router, just add that to your Router's Host file.

 

The remote will be on my android phone, is it possible to block from there?

yes you can.. u need to block certain URL on router... or at least on your tablet/smartphone

 

Unfortunately nothing happens when i scan for devices on the app..

 

So i blocked presonus.com in the router and unblocked 'Studio One.exe' in windows firewall and now the app can see it but it wont connect.. so i guess no luck

 

Working here perfectly. The known host blocks on the pc and tablet/phone. Phone/tablet in the same network with the pc.

Edit Oh and just pull your internet cable from your router so you got only a local network. If you can`t block connections to servers on your phone/ tablet.

the main point is, you need to block the remote apps to call home.. or either you can block it directly from your router.

Im not sure for iOS, but for Android.. you can use app called "DNS66", you can download it via f-droid.

 

Will not work.
Airplane mode only blocks mobile data.

Airplane mode + Wifi Off = How the fuck will the remote app even connect to actual Studio One?
Airplane mode + Wifi On = Again, the rempte app will be able to call home because nobody is blocking it from calling home.

Either Add these to host file of the device where the remote app will be run
127.0.0.1 registration.presonus.com
127.0.0.1 updates.presonus.com

Or block these two sites in your router or the device on which the remote app will be running
registration.presonus.com
updates.presonus.com

To edit android host file, you need a rooted android.
But you can easily add this two sites in your router's host file (if you have a good router) or you can just block these two sites in the child lock or parental lock section of the router.

Just hope its safe enough to block those two in the router and not the app itself
