For me too...Pro Tools 12.3 crashes when I try to close the sessions. I just need to remove them from the inserts and it closes without any issue. I have tried that opengl setting but it didn't solve the issue here.

 

Yeah, got some alerts with Avast trying to uninstall some of the recent releases too, but Avast just alert then do a quick verification and allow software to proceed with the uninstall. No trouble at all here.
Going off topic here, but just in case, I pretty much believe on R2R when downloaded from reliable sources, most of the time I just disable my protection while installing or unninstalling these programs. Avast has caused more trouble than good for me in the last few years, I just use it because sometimes sites open some bad "ads" or spam and avast just blocks it.

Go on your "user/appdata/roaming/softube" (not sure if it's the exacly path, but you can get your way looking for these folders), and look for some txt called "global preferences" or something like this, the open and change the "enable opengl" from true to false, save, close the txt and reopen the plugin in your DAW, that can solve your problem

I used Avast for years until I started having random issues with Windows 7, 8.1 & then Windows 10 1803-1909. Removed Avast from laptop & let Windows Defender handle protection. Much improved performance. Also stopped using CCleaner & JetClean.
Running O&O Defrag along with manually cleaning leftovers in folders:
C:\Windows\Temp\ and C:\Users\username\Local\Temp

Your system should not be presenting you with any substantial issues if configured properly. With AMD CPUs it is best to let PBO bump up system performance when needed. Basic system tweaks for audio/video along with recommended BIOS settings for Ryzen should give you very dependable & stable performance.

Memory used should be from QVL between 3200 & 3600 using a 1-to-1 XMP BISO profile. Tight timings also help. There are modules not on the list that may work (varies from system to system).

 

These new plugins are using dynamic scalable menus now not just a 2D picture as the GUI.
I understand people are frustrated with this change as for now Nvidia 4 gb with open GL 4 is a minimum requirement for most games and software.

 

Running current releases on a workstation with ECC Registered memory & 1GB Quadro with error correction memory. No issues with or without OpenGL. For now, Quadro drivers are still updated on a regular basis for workstation & enterprise durability.

Or at least "Problems with new softube stuff?" (notice the important question mark)

First assumption should always be, not that reality is fucked up, but that your perceptions of reality are fucked up.
Same is true for software... assume first that it is your system causing the trouble, until you have some other evidence it may be the actual software. (even if anecdotal) Keep in mind the number of users vs. the reports...(yes sometimes people may not report.. I have often wondered about that, too. But usually if it is a problem I will NOT be the first to complain .

Yes, be suspicious that it is the software ... but avoid the desire for an answer or to begin making conclusions.
Doing those things can interfere with seeing clues to the actual problem.

And there I was, thinking you were just like all the other over-entitled asswipes, bitching because something you got for free doesn't work perfectly on your crappy set-up, whereas in fact, you were all the time thinking of those poor people who spend all their hard earned money on this software.

Of course, those people would be able to get support from the company that they bought the software from so wouldn't have to bitch and moan on a warez site, so they can probably manage just fine without your misguided white knighting.

my oto shows up as an error in fl studio 20 , but thats because my dumbass forgot to turn off process tamer since i had it setup to make jlbridge calm the fuck down because i insist on using 32bit vst and effects.

that find plugin button press was a mistake cause it nerfed all my old audio damage and d16 plugins.

thats my test laptop though.

it works absolutely fine on my desktop that doesnt run process tamer cause its not a potato
