Recently i made a thread about the tape plugin slowing down everything, i thought the problem was gone and is already there, also with the new amps happen even more, the daw become so slow, these are the only plugins that gives this stupid problem

In the plugin settings, disable opengl.

Your thread title is very alarmist and can scare people off. Don't make assumptions until you know that everyone is experiencing these issues which I doubt because you're one of the only people to complain about it. You should always include useful information in your post such as your OS, the DAW you're using, etc. Perhaps this is a known issue or there's something that you haven't considered causing this problem. Let's not jump to conclusions just yet.

 

here with opengl, nvidia 4gb, win 10 updated at date ptools 12.5 .... go fantastc

 

I have Softube tape legit on W10 and 8th gen i7 and it doesn't slow down anything here m8.

No problems in Reaper or Pro Tools 12.5 with/without OpenGL. This is with Windows Defender running.
Problem could be unique to your setup. Please post you OS & system specs.

 

So, instead of came here ask for a possibly solution for your problem, you decided to talk bad about the plugins because they just don't work for you, even if aparently no one else is having any issues. I don't think it's a mature way to handle things in life.

Anyway, if you really need these plugins in your workflow try to look for the %APPDATA Softube folder and check in general preferences if Opengl still deactivated, if yes, then check for the individual plugins preferences and see if their "scale properties" are correctly set to your setups

Well here i am in thought how R2R version's softube plugins are not taking any cpu load or much memory.

 

are you using ASIO4ALL potato onboard audio?

I also had plugins with Softube. The last current graphics card driver downloaded, installed and everything works perfectly.
On my laptop I only have onboard graphics and it doesn't work with OpenGL / Windows 10.
But I couldn't turn it off in the plugin either, because the computer was so slow that I couldn't even open the plugin.

 

because i raged when i uninstalled everything, avast was giving suspicious alerts in the files and the windows of uninstall the plugins was popping over and over again

 

When i read the title 'the new softube stuff is like a virus', after the yesterday thread,
I would bet a winzip license the goal of the thread isnt obtaining any kind of help, but rather misleading people into thinking their computer or refrigerator will blow up , if they install a R2R softube release...

What will be the title of the next thread ? Let me guess:
'A friend has installed a softube plugin from R2R, yesterday he was diagnosed with testicle cancer'

i think it is issues like this, which only affect a small percentage of users. that cause r2r to retain so many things internally and never share them. they are not in existence to fix every little issue that crops up. and honestly some of these issues might have been a problem for these few users even if they bought the legitimate plugins.

 

fwiw, my refrigerator did blow up. but i blame trump.

 

The mention of Avast is a helpful hint. Still though, what is you OS & system specs?
If you are running Windows 10 20H2, Windows Defender is more than adequate and a better solution than Avast. Recently advised someone to remove Avast & make sure Windows reactivated Windows Defender. Report back was that system performance had dramatically improved.

Also. If Avast is running with Windows Defender active, your system is taking a double hit to performance and, could be cause of system conflicts.
