Hello guys, I've been trying to compare audio quality to see if the plugins going through the AudioGridder actually produce the same audio.

So I've run VintageVerb on the VM with AudioGridder, rendered it as a WAV file into my DAW.
Then I did the same with the actual VintageVerb on my MAC with same settings.

When inverting the phase, the 2 wav files should cancel each other, but actually it didnt cancel at all.

So the audio quality is not the same going out of the AudioGridder, and coming out from the actual real computer.

    Kinda disappointed...

did you check if the audiogridder file has latency? it cant cancel out, if you have just a little latency in one file.
also, i'm not sure a reverb is a perfect tool to do such a test. does a reverb always sound the same to the last bit in 2 recordings? reverb might have chorus and other effects on it, which also cant cancel the phase?

No way. it sure has to do something relating with latency, according to my checks comparing the S73, they sound the same here.

yeah i guess that is better plugin to test. clean sine wave with a clean plugin. reverb has to much modulations and varieties.

Yes, you can. AG works well in LAN. WLAN is not recommended.

Reverb plugin does take more lantency through the LAN. The longest latency I can see is about 30ms.

Anybody tried Gullfoss ? Looks like the plugin UI works, but audio-wise, nothing is changed...

You just need to change the scaling setting to 100% in Windows.

I installed audiogridder server on an old laptop with windows 7, all plugins are available, no failure, then i installed audiogridder plugin on my macbook, open, clicked add server, entered 0 and nothing happen/no connection. Can anyone help me and tell how can I connect?

AG should reconnect the server automatically. You can also add the ip address of your server, 192.168.xxx.xxx manually.

It will probably be your network setting in Windows, or possibly your Mac firewall setting, or possibly Little Snitch or equivalent if you have that running. The AG server needs to be able to transmit over the network and your DAW needs access to both incoming and outgoing local connections.

How do I see the latency I am getting? In the plugin there is a monitor and statistics. In statistics there is a value for Processing time (95th percentile and this same value is shown as 'Perf' in the monitor window - is that the latency? If so I am getting between 1 and 1.5 ms (depending on the plugin) which seems very fast!
