-As long as you have installed the visual c++
-You need uninstall the plugins(the failed ones),
-Remove the cfg and server cache files in audiogridder(search here https://github.com/apohl79/audiogridder/discussions ),
-Reinstall plugins, runs the app again and voila!

    @POP look in C:/Users/[name]/AppData/Roaming/AudioGridder directory.

You might need to make AppData directory visible, it is invisible by default (you can google that)

There's not really any steps.. You run AudioGridder on the VM, open the AudioGridder plugin in the DAW and it either connects or it doesn't. I'm using VMWare not Parallels but in VMWare there are various Network adapter options for the VM - I found I had to set the Network Adapter to Ethernet (as opposed to 'NAT' or 'Host Only") to get it to connect.

I use it too and the software is reliable and gets the job done. If you are using a lot of e.g. Kontakt instances you can offload them to one or more "servers" (normal PCs) and offload their work and memory consumtion from you main machine.
Best is if you use a second network as this way it doesn't interfere with your main natwork (in terms of network load). Not very expensive btw.

Waves grid works quite the same, but you can only offload specialized plugins (most from Waves itself) to a specialized server you need to set up. As for VEP waves uses a dedicated network for the integration of the several computers and hardware. Waves built an kind infrastructure consisting of hardware and software making it possible to transport data and sound over the network.
Waves hardware is quite expesive and idk if crack of as sound grid on sister site works.

Audio Gridder follows a similar concept as VEP but is capable to use linux as well. Downside is, that the development of the software works quite slowly as it's developed by one person atm. While it's a 1.0 software it is most likely not as complete as VEP or Waves soundgrid. It's opensource (for the time being), so one can give it a try without regret.

Don't know if this may help anyone. But on OSX if you run Parallels, you might run into some issues when it comes to network or even USB. Try this. Found this on the web... No guarantees

    Network problem fix:
    1. sudo nano /Library/Preferences/Parallels/network.desktop.xml
    2. Find
    3. Value may be 1 or -1.
    4. Change to 0 (if there is no …, add value.)
    5. Save (Press CTRL+O to save the changes. Press CTRL+X to exit the editor.)

    USB problem fix:
    1. sudo nano /Library/Preferences/Parallels/dispatcher.desktop.xml
    2. Find 0 or -1, and replace it to 1.
    3. Save (Press CTRL+O to save the changes. Press CTRL+X to exit the editor.

I will have to try this myself since I am new to all of this... Let me know!

I uninstalled the Parallels and installed VM. Tried over to no avail.
The Ethernet option has a red dot since there is no cable connected but even when i choose it has no effect.
I used the stable version of Audiogridder.
Surely I'm missing something but have no idea what it is...

I'm purely guessing here, but AudioGridder is designed to run on another computer which is connected to your main computer by ethernet. It may be that when using a VM, you need an active ethernet connection for it to work as AudioGridder thinks it needs to 'advertise' itself on the network. I have an active ethernet connection (connects to my router for internet) and when I use the 'Ethernet' network adapter option in VMware, my Mac and the VM are assigned different local IP addresses on the Network - at that point it is essentially behaving the same as 2 different computers on the same ethernet network and AudioGridder works. Selecting the Ethernet Network adapter was also the only way I could get internet access on the VM.

I installed the Beta version and it worked flawlessly!
For me it worked with Bridged (Autodetect) and with no ethernet cable.

Thank you and dkaos81 for your help and concern!

I guess this would be used for mastering, no? for production it has to be a bit complicated and slow, but it is a good solution if your main PC is not powerful although I think the best solution is to buy a new computer haha
