Hello guys, Im having a little problem with changing a stereo sound to mono
This is how the mono sounds:

The stereo version of this synth sound pretty good to me but when I goes to stereo it lost a big part of its character, the texture, how could I have this synth soudning good both in mono and in stereo?

No audio attached so can only guess. Phase. Try that new ssl xphase thing we just got?
If you made the patch are you are able to make it in mono first and then widen. Bx stereo widener is great for widening sounds and still keeps great mono.
Or you will have to use a mid side eq or saturater and just boost the mid(mono)

I removed it once I noticed my mistake, you could also mix the mono and stereo versions ontop of eachother so it folds down well into mono and also sounds good in stereo

 

I first tried doing this but when I put it on stereo sounds like its freaking loud
but in mono it sound great

 

In Sylenth play you have 4 oscilators take them out of stereo, try panning them, or leave mono and try stereo with a diff plugin.
But I just tried it. Didn't work lol. But using proq3 in mid side mode and just boosting the mid did.

 

Learn about the Mid- and Sides channel (M/S). Learn about phase, phase cancellation, comb filtering, etc. Learn what stacking detuned/unison'ed (and spread) oscillators do to the M/S. There are tons of resources out there.

I just checked out, its LD Cosmic, it is a simple lead with a chorus effect, and the chorus is almost perfect out of phase lfjasdfsad

I was tryin to tweek it a little to make it sound like the stereo in the mono version but I still couldnt, but while in the process I recorded an audio of the song with my smartphone and I discovered that it sounds great even that the audio is in mono, so it made me to think, if I can just record it on real life ( a stereo sound ) with a mono mic and it sound almost exactly how it sound to my ears, is there any vst or way to just bounce this stereo keeping it characteristics to a mono file lmao?

 

Ooh, I managed to make it sound almost exactly as it was sounding in stereo using fl stereo shapper
