I love a good remix but I agree it should be originals only. Maybe a remix album at a later date?

Im gonna probably audition 3 tracks from totally different genres and let the masses decide which is best.

This is a Wonderful project. The technology in use, based on the Audioz site software, tutorials, etc. An idea that could be a top thing in the world if things are made with the top thinking and musical inteligence that this project needs. This community, I think, it's international: people from France, Sydey, Colombia, USA, Japan, etc. Thats why I know it could be wonderful indeed! So many cultures, So many sounds. The global standard, seems to be just "4/4 beats in c major" (you get the point?) So many rythms, instruments... A WONDERFUL THING THAT MUST BE WONDERFUL IN SOUND. Thats why, I am glad to suscribe myself into this forum.

I just thought about one thing:
What about the licenses?

Will it be on creative commons?
Shall be in their projects too?

That's a chance for changing copyrighyts (copywrongs) ideas in this world dominated by some papers that litlle one really know what they say.

Hey Klaviernatum, that's a good question. I think the idea is that it shouldn't be copyrighted at all.
But with that in mind, if someone thinks they have a real hit song on their hands, maybe they shouldn't put that track in this project?
Or maybe it would actually be pretty cool if some artist lifted a track from this and used it somehow, even if the composer don't get any $$

Or maybe it's ok to add tracks that you have copyrighted, and it's just the presented version that will be free for DL and sharing, but not for altering or commercial use?

 

The album shall be for free, but the album itself does not have the rights to the music. The owner themselves do. There is no mutual agreement between the writer and distributor except for the fact that we are releasing this for free based on the intentions described in the OP, and it's completely your choice whether you wan't to contribute or not. You can choose to do whatever you wan't with your own music. But like always, you need to ask others about their music

If you wan't you can release your track in another album you're working on later on. Just make sure the track you're writing is new and isn't something dated

Unless it was released under CC license, at least the most free variation, cause then anybody can use it anyway they want, even commercially without asking permission. I think they just have to credit the creator somehow.
But we're not doing that then. I guess you're not such a darn hippie after all HK

It's just we're trying to get members who actually contribute something to the forums because I just know there's going to be people making accounts just to send their tracks to me, and they hardly posted anything or contributed anything...

I'm already actually starting to get some tracks by random people that aren't even part of the forums...

What if my project is a remix project ? (which it is currently)

I can understand the problem of unauthorized remixes (bootlegs) and copyright issues but i mainly make official remixes and always reserve the right to publish them for free on my soundcloud.

 

For the sake of consistency and so we don't get into copyright mishaps, original mixes are required and important. We wan't people to post in tracks from the ground up, that way the album can feel like more of an original rather than a compilation. That's why we also don't allow tracks that have already been made. All tracks should be either in the works, or newely in the works

If you can pull off an original track, the more likely you'll be on the album and people will review what you've done

 

+1 HK. This is an AudioSex project not an Audioz project so people need to be members here and hopefully people don't just sign up for this one thing. There is always cool stuff going on around these parts. AudioSex makes me want to clone myself so I can sign up twice...album or no. *yes*

Where "free", does not always means money.

I think releasing a work should be thinked beyond the prime product. (i.e. A world tour or concerts derived from the success of this album, should be in the contributors minds).

Perhaps, this subject should be discussed closely, in my opinion.
Just for the sake of a Perfect Work, remembering: "what if we do something beautiful..."
