Recently had to re-install Windows and all my software... wanted to try Massive again, downloaded the demo... instant timebomb... didnt get to play with it for 30 minutes then it timebombs... went to DEMO standalone app... pressed a single key on my keyboard... CRASH!!! Can anyone point me in the direction of a resolution???

 

Im afraid though... if the demo is timebombing can i really trust thr retail release???

 

Yeah man because you paid for it and have the right to bitch at them incessantly until they get your issue resolved.

 

have you used the demo before.. some companies keep track of IP.
Either way, You can try the crack version of massive. Buy it if you love it. *yes*

Nope, never used the demo... really wanted to stay legit and do right by NI, but this is making me doubtful... Guess I'll just have to find an alternative, any suggestions?

 

If this is happening then something is not installed properly after your re-install. Audio drivers probably.
Massive has been stable for ages now, so NI is not your issue. It's something on your PC.

After a re-install I always make a backup of the base install (no audio software).
Then another after OS updates.
This lets you jump back to a stable build when you get crappy troubleshooting issues like this.

 

Nah everything is tip-top... nothing else crashes or hangs... just that damned demo... deleted it, cleaned registry, re-installed... BAMM-O!Same issue... I'm just going to give up on Massive for now... can anyone recommend a decent comparable product, I have Sylenth (which is awesome) but I cant really find one that gives me the growly-noisy stuff I want without too much hassle and fuss... Like Octopus, its a great synth but in order to program from scratch i had to find a patch online that someone else had gone through an initialized every setting... I'm rambling now haha
