    Hi guys,

I just read that Ableton released a public beat for Ableton Live 9.1. I`m downloading the version at the moment and wanted to ask, if anybody has already installed the beta and if it is running without problems besides Ableton 9?
Would appreciate to hear you experiences about this version.
Here you can find the official news: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/live-91-announced-dual-monitor-support-push-step-sequencer-and-more/

    Cheers

different ableton versions always run side by side - i have ableton 9.0.5 installed and the current version 9.0.6 both working independent so i can set different settings without interfering the other one.
keep in your mind the beta is always a bit different structurized as the final version.

    happy testing.

Dual monitor....finally! That was one of the many user requests that they didn't add in Live9. Better late then never...

I know they have a Freeze Track option, but It would be more convenient if they have a "bounce/freeze in place" option which flattens the track and bypasses the original. Similar to Logic or Studio One. And I don't know why you can't save an activated metronome as a template in Live. Small issue, but weird.

Live 9 freeze and "flatten " tracks . Which is the same as bounce in place in Logic.

It's not, because Logic saves the original track. You can actually go back to it. It's non-destructive compared to Live's.

Dual monitor support - the only feature I don't need. :(

Hope there are some other changes as well.

    There is the trick ;-)
When you freeze in live , there is an audio file created in your current project folder. You can just navigate over there ( sample>processed>freese), pick up this audio file and voilĂ .
You still have you're track freeze + plus the audio track from the freeze track.
No destructive, until you decide to flattened the freeze track indeed . :)

@LiveLogicLoopsTools: maybe better to learn one sequencer completely than four seqs a half ;)

@all: no maths please: in this case "1x1 full" is more than "4x half"

I really can not imagine to work with one monitor, what for insufferable thing :(
