Computer Under Attack From RETN?

    McAfee blocks hundreds of calls from my computer to RETN, a Dutch networking company.
    I have no idea what these assholes are up to so I sent them an email telling them to stop F**king with my computer or I will report them to the Dutch police and Interpol.
    What are these shysters up to?
    Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about situations like this?

    Uninstall McAfee, it is well known that McAffe does some shady things, I would recommend any of these:
    1. Bitdefender
    2. Kaspersky
    3. Webroot
    And you wont see those same alerts as McAffe.

    So your computer is trying to contacting RETN hundreds of times and you reckon its their fault?

    That makes no sense.

    As @Willum already mentioned, your computer 'seems' to be the cause and McAfee prevents it from transmitting data.
    I recommend a virus scan.

    shouldnt mcafee show which program it is that is doing the calling?

    actually this sound more like your computer is being used for a DDOS attack

    If you can recall when it started doing this, maybe check against your installed programs history to see what you installed around that date?

    RETN is mainly a backbone provider.

    You need to check what's trying to call something in the RETN network. Could be as mundane as some software calling home to check for updates.

    Ditch McAffee and get a Pi-Hole.

    I searched Pi-Hole and this looks like it could be a solution.
