This thing can do everything SERUM does and more. Text to wavetable is just one of the additional features that has endless possibilities and sounds incredible.

And to top it all of, its FREE.

yes!! im definitely giving the guy the 80 dollars he asks for the "pro" version, which is the same as the free but with more presets and unlimited text to wavetable. Im not a preset guy but like you said this does what serum does right now plus way more so he deserves it. I dont think ill use serum anymore, ill still use serum fx tho, and btw there is "vital fx" aswell lol it seems this guy loved serum and wanted to make his own version

Looks interesting. He's gonna have a hard time selling it right before Black Friday at this price. I wonder if he'll do some kind of intro sale.

I don't think he'll have a problem at all. If you're talking about the Pro version, consider that Serum cost over twice as much with less features. If you cant afford it, the free version is already extremely robust. $25 for the Plus version or subscription for $5/month... I think this dude is being pretty generous considering what you're getting. I'm definitely going to jump on the Pro version as well once its available.

    Wow.

When I saw the GUI I said "this looks very tidy and easy to program, even though it has so many features". I'm a Spire fan, and Spire takes some time to get used to its scattered, tabbed programming ways. Serum is easier than Spire, but Vital reminds me of the best, easiest to work with [IMHO] GUI from Cycle. I like to program Cycle just because it is so easy to use. Everything is within reach easily. But I don't like the sound. I wonder what Vital sounds like. I can't wait to try it!

    Cheers!

So, is it a kind of, sell presets business? Which mean you cant add your own wave-tables?

    Also, it's not available until 24/11 ..

Not really, he just gives you the entire synth free with just a few presets and wavetable but irs extremely easy and powerful to create new wavetables and also if you buy the "Plus" for 25$ i think you get more presets and wavetables and if you get the pro you get the entire official library of presets. I honestly think this is gonna blow up and we are going to see hundreds of new preset packs because this is seriously a step up on wavetable synths

Wow this looks really cool! It even does some things Serum doesn't. The ability to use keytracked LFO's at audio rate and essentially be able to phase modulate everything is really appealing to me. You can do it in Serum but with a clunky workaround that also makes you sacrifice the noise oscillator. I'm definitely going to give it a try.

    Thank you for your answer.
Still need to check if it's possible to import wavetables into it.

From the homepage 'Turn your own samples into wavetables by using Vital's pitch-splice or vocode wavetable converter.
Create wavetables from scratch using the built-in wavetable editor and even generate wavetables from text!
    '

Since this feature is not mentioned in the comparison chart it should be possible with the free version.

If they have just designed a wavetable synth that doesnt support wav wavetable import, this synth is dead already!
I highly doubt they didnt include that

I read something about a limit of 10 in the free version, but don't trust me on this. Could be another feature.

On a side note, it's nice to see you synth lovers so hyped up with this apparently very good synth.

I read in the discord that the text-to-wavetable is a feature paid for by Matt himself. Probably why it's limited on the Basic and Plus tier and unlimited in higher tiers. If that message was true, Matt is being waaay to generous.

I want to learn more about it, what platform did he pay for?

There have already been a lot of little freeware txt-to-speech tools, C64 speech algorithm etc, i love them
