Steinberg is introducing a new version of their Cubase 11 DAW on November 12th

Here’s what we know about a new release:

    - Scale assistant, custom musical scales, scales in key editor and other improvements
    - Sampler Track v2: new revision of Sampler: LFOs for parameters modulation, sample slicing + other enhancements)
    - New Squasher plugin – multiband effect with a combination of an upward and downward compressor, saturator and gate per band.
    - Supervision metering plugin – professional tool suite for monitoring and analyzing audio
    - Frequency 2 – updated Frequency plugin with Dynamic EQ mode
    - Multiband Imager plugin
    - Score improvements
    - Sidechain with multiple Inputs support (multiple sources into one plugin)

    - Revised ARA2 support (bounce is no longer involved when commiting an audio event to the selected ARA extension) + improved ARA workflow
    - Modernized Graphic Support for MacOS (application now uses a modernized graphic back end utilizing latest technologies available on MacOS).
    - Win 10 Graphics improvements – variable DPI support

Cubase 11 will have a completely new MIDI remote and API system which allows third-party developers to write scripts for their Hardware. With a nice graphical representation of a MIDI device:

A new Maximizer module in Channel Strip with Modern mode:

    - Dedicated new default Mixdown Folder in the project root directory

We will see much more soon I guess....

My "grace period" is ready :disco:

I hope that Steinberg finally create a Hardware Controller dedicated to Cubase wit more then one fader.

Something Like the FaderPort 16 but with Native Cubase support and not that crappy MCU stuff.
Essentially like Studio One in conjunction with a Faderport where you have a Plugin Edit Layer and can create custom Plugin mappings by device or even by preset as it is possible with Bitwig + FP16 !

If Cubase perfoms better than StudioBuggyOne that I would immediately switch back to Cubase sell my FP16 and get a Cubase 11 Controller

    THAT would have my attention.

But that sounds exactly in taht direction:

That would really be great, I hate using komplete kontrol to fully use my midi kontroller for certain VSTs. Better integration would be great. I used Reason many years ago, the integration was much better so this should be possible.

    but:
Yeah the Pots of NI are cheap garbage. (wear out fast) A Fader with 1024 Steps is much finer than 127 step.

I like Studio One either but It suxx under macOS performance and stability wise,
and under Windows it is just buggy as well. Be happy if you havent found the bugs yet :)

I work with cubase since cubase sx 2 till now,
One of the futures which i really love in S1 is the freezing tracks, In cubase when you freeze the track it'll be lock, you cannot add plugins or do the changes, unless you render the track,
In studio one you can do the changes and add new plugins, this is so good for those who do mixing ITB,

Could you name some of S1 buggs on windows plz?

I wish they implement the choose next/previous sample on a folder for the sample track.
    Squasher = OTT clone?
I`m excited to see all the new features.. I use a mix of cubase/ableton/reaper.. but Cubase is still my default to recording big projects.
    Thanks for sharing this information.
