If you click on the link in Hennings video you automaticaly redirects to a discount site and it cost 47 euro still expensive for a bloody IR loader even if it has a tonematching function
Aas it only can load 4 IR's and let you mix them other IR loader let you load atleast 6-8 IR or even unlimited IR's

 

As far as I remember Overloud Rematrix uses five IR slots.

 

Yes still too expansive to buy it without extensive try.
One of the important factor with IR's mixers is how they handle phase, specially if it is for export and use in another device.
And I wouldn't pay 46 euros without being sure it's really well handled.

Henning say in the video it handles phase issues automatically but then again he might just say that as he is "selling" the app.
Mikko cost the same this month and frankly it seems better even if it lacks tonematching (who wants that anyway? you want sound like Petrucci/Vai/Van Halen even if you have a guitar tone close to the guitar tone they have as it is all in the hands and the way you play)

 

Still not really suited for guitar/bass cab IR's Altiverb and tons of convolution reverb plugins also let you load in IR's i would'nt use those for guitar cab IR's

 

That was just a reply to Illadelph about old IR reverbs with multiple IRs.

Interstingly I've never really tried to load a cab IR into a reverb plugin. For a single IR I can't think of any reason why this shouldn't work. Have you ever tried it?

 

I don't think he lies, but phase issues are complex, so it's important to check how the plugin handle them.

14.08 changes: Added "IR" button to toolbar (exports impulse response of current plugin settings) for MCabinet(MB), all equalizers and all reverbs.

But price is 99€ so ... It's too expansive for me

That's the version that I use. Melda and Blue Cat, in my opinion, are companies that are under-rated by most. They both are very creative innovators.

 

Blue Cat Axiom became my complete In the "box guitar stuff host". Because you can load up VSts inside of Axiom. So basically everything complete suits of other guitar amp vsts, effects and IR loaders.

I find myself more and more loading up 1 IR in Axioms postfilter and use the eq like possibilities. 28.39 The IR loader aka post filter is shown

 

The phase handling possible issue interests me. Did you get some clear guides?
I did a bit of digging after your thread and found the conversion of all IRs to "minimal phase" the usual best workaround but not the optimal.
So do you recommend a manual tweaking feature inside the plugin?

I don't have clear guide, but I have my experience, that's how I know it's so important.
Concretely, after working on IRs, I ended hearing a clear problem, it sounded like if there was a flanger effect with it.
So I loaded the IR like a " normal" wave into my daw and zoomed a lot. After some try and error, I found 2 essential factors
A delay at the beginning of the IR , by delay I mean the the IR didn't have signal at its beginning.
And some times a second signal close to the end of the IR.
So I had to manually take off both, and the problem was solved.

But I would really like to use a software that really deal correctly with this, and / or would give a graphic representation so it would be possible to adjust phase manually.

 

Interesting. I'm not positive, but the initial no-signal correction may be close to minimal phase conversion.

 

Yes, it's possible, given that I also used Impulse responses, without taking care if they had the same specs, kHz and bits, and exported the result in the convenient format for Ampero.
There is of course a lot of calculation under the hood, may be too much....
