what tools were used and why?
I don't think there's an 808 that's so rich in harmonics. it's got this crunch ridiculously warm when u roll of the highs. was a guitar amp used? was it camel crusher? I know this sounds crazy but maybe someone can recognize the distortion characteristic. anything

feel drag it into your sampler and hear for yourself

How do you even make that waveform?
Saw a guy on youtube try to make it with sublab but it wasn't close.

spinz is my boy I can ask him how he made it.

He uses Logic and FL Studio native and not really 3rd party plugins.

I pretty much followed that Jetson Made Style 808 video I posted up there. I'm also in FL so used the 3x osc like him to create the sine wav into Edison. Except I didn't fade it out in Edison. I dragged it into a sample channel. Sent it to mixer channel for fx. First up EQ Rolled off the highs at around 100hz. Then into Fabfilter Saturn2 warm tape and saturated around 130hz up and boosted it 11db. Followed by Decapitator with punish on, drive up to 7, low cut was around 150hz style was on p. But play with low cut, drive, style in Decapitator to your taste. Then another EQ I rolled off highs again at around 380hz. Then I added a camel crusher British Clean with mix at around 70%. Then into Waves mono RBASS I just put at low as it goes 32hz. Then I squashed it with a mono Waves L2 Ultramizer back down to -6db. Then I recorded that back into Edison, normalized it, and then I dragged that back into a sample window. And in the sample window I adjusted it using the out by the precomputed effects , pretty much it just lets you fade out longer then you can in Edison to make it fade out like a sword. And then right clicked on the wav and clicked save as and luckily it saves it with the way I shaped the decay making it into a sword. I was just trying to make it look similar to Spinz808.
Main points I went for when making it. A clean wav, roll off highs above around 100hz, distort then try to shape the decay similar to the Spinz808.
Hope you are in FL. not sure how to do it in something else. But I was just playing around following along to that Youtube vid.

Maybe this helps my Favorite 808 Tutorial also on FL but he is doing the 808's in Serum so this can be useful for all Serum users. Also the Warp Academy 808 Tutorials are real Dope.
