I Can't comment on the sister site anymore...

    So i have an issue with audioz, which is I can't comment anymore. For example if try to reply or create a new comment I'm unable to post it like I used to do before.

    So when I hit drop, the like short animation pops up with the stripes going like a wave motion and then nothing happens, no error messages no nothing if I refresh the page still nothing. I don't think I'm banned from commenting or maybe I am.

    By the way I'm using windows 10 with Chrome as my browser.
    Tested with Edge and the same issue.

    most likely you have javascript disabled or some addon like NoScript or AdBlocker messes with it

    I had the same issue with no js disabled or blocked, it worked from time to time. I also use Chrome incognito, maybe that's the problem or it's due to the VPN which can also block js or jquery on occasion. @SAiNT, what would you expect to be the reason?

    I just tried to comment in incognito mode and nothing happened, for me It's fine to make another account since this one isn't really that old but I just find it a bit strange.

    Are you surfing on a phone or a proper computer? Have you tried using a different browser e.g. firefox?

    just get another browser like Opera or Firefox there are so many browsers out there why be limited to Chrome and Edge, I can't believe how many people I know tell me they have browser issues and everyone of them is using a internet explorer, edge or chrome and don't even think of trying another browser. If you have a flat tire & don't have a spare and someone stops and offers you a Michelin tire of the same size are you going to say no thanks I'll sit in my car till someone comes by & offers me a Goodyear because I only use Goodyear. I always have 4 different browsers on my net PC, I use one but the others are there just in case of a problem,

    Many people think that in today's world, the variety of products has increased and people do not have to use limited options.

    But the fact is that only the shells are diversified. Central parts of products are still produced by a handful of companies. How many companies are able to build a jet engine? How many companies are able to build powerful CPUs?

    This is also the case with other industries. Large companies monopolize all the privileges and vital parts of their products and allow other small companies only minor changes to their product shells.

    The situation is similar with browsers. Most browsers use the same codes and technologies developed by a few developers in their underlying layers.

    It's true there are many varients of some browser engines. However, both Firefox & Opera themselves are built on entirely different code than Chrome, Edge or Explorer.

    The only time I had this issue was when I made off topic comments a few years ago on the sister site and got my commenting abilities frozen for a few days (and rightfully so). If this happened to you, you would have been messaged directly and informed of the sanctions being implemented and the reasoning behind it, usually by Olymoon or SAiNT. You also would have gotten several warnings leading up to this, unless the offending comments were truly egregious for whatever reason. From my experience, any reprimands set into place by the moderators are pretty well communicated to the offender around here. You would have been the first to know if you were banned, restricted, demoted, etc in any way. So no worries there. :wink:

    I occasionally have issues with my browser regardless which one I use, hence why I keep 4 different browsers on my computer. Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera. So I would build off of what another user here said and suggest trying a browser you have not yet used to logged onto the site with. Sure you have not logged on with Opera or Firefox yet? If that does not work, try creating a second account just to see if the problem persists there, as this could rule out if it is an issue on your end or the site's end. I would suggest you clear your browser cookies or cache. Now, I doubt this will work but hey... it's still worth a shot. :dunno: Worst case scenario try a different device?

    I literally pointed that I'm using a windows 10 machine with chrome and tested Microsoft Edge and still the same issue check the first post.

    exactly. i was having problems with the sister site on chrome, so i switched to firefox. problem solved. and i'm still using an adblocker.

    btw, chrome and edge are virtually the same browser. microsoft licensed it from google

    Olymoon has been kind enough to reply and he stated that I'm not banned from commenting.

    Tested on both opera and firefox and cleared the cache on Chrome and nothing happend so it doesn't seem like a browser issue even tested the issue on a VM and still the same issue.

    So i created a new account and I was able to comment like i used to in the new account using Chrome (not in the VM but in my actual pc).
    So something is wrong with the account.
