    Hey all,

I was wondering if any of y'all had any recommendations for a well rounded guitar course to keep me practicing daily to becoming better at all aspects of guitar.

Thanks to whoever helps me out!

Justinguitar and Paul davids are pretty much the only ones you need, depending on your genre (blues/rock/pop)

How well do you play, do you have the foundation and knowledge necessary for self study?
What style of music do you play?
What type of guitar do you play on folk, electric, classical?
Do you use a plectrum or are you finger picker?

A bit more data would give you a better answer to your question.

Is it practical to think there might be an invention that simulates calluses on the fingertips for guitar playing? Developing these seems key to overcoming retarded fingers on the fretboard.

Calluses help to reduce some minor pain as you push on strings, especially if you have a penchant for heavier gauge strings and push down harder than necessary. The muscles and muscle memory you get from repetition while developing those calluses is what helps in overcoming 'retarded' fingers on the fretboard. Good positioning and technique help a great deal as well, especially in reducing RSI and in easing progress.

Most people aren't good enough to use any of the JTC courses...
Majority of there courses are for professional players wanting to improve their skills.

Your best bet it use Truefire.com
Hundreds or course that covers everything...
If you get through the Truefire courses easily then move on to JTC.

I just wish there was an invention that could help press down strings precisely without having to lose the sense of touch in those fingertips. I'mma a nerd

I have seen plastic fingertip covers for people with sensitive fingers. I imagine they are much like the ones Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath uses (he's actually missing a fingertip or two and needs them to play). That being said, I have played guitar on and off for over 35 years. Grab a guitar, plug it in, and play it. Over and over and over. Until you can play something else. Repetition is KEY. You don't need as much pressure to press the strings as one would think. As John Petrucci says, if you bend, use one or two fingers to help it. Good luck!

The best guitar 'lesson' in my opinion is learning songs by your favorite musicians. As far as video lessons I really like the Truefire Rob Garland videos.
