I'd like to thank you again for you massive support and detailed feedback on my two previous posts.
Thanks to you I managed to learn more about music production, learn from my mistakes, and pushed me to experiment with new ideas and fresh concepts.

This time I tried to take my production to the next level, with the same dark vibes in my previous tracks, I got inspiration from this track.

Let's wait and see.

1. too wide, like in way too wide. If you mono the main part, the synth on the left is almost gone. Which leads me to
2. the synth on the left urgently needs at least some kind of variation. Additionally I wouldn't pan it to the far left, I didn't even dare to listen to it with headphones.
3. the track is too boomy. But if you reduce the boomyness, the low end immediately loses punch, even if the level below 100Hz is still there. Means, you messed up the low end, most probably by compressing it way too much and eqing it wrong.
4. on principle this track consists of 1 1/2 parts with a bit different arrangement, which is totally ok if you listen to it on your own (I know that phenomenon ), but for releasing...

 

Nice one bro... I like the tune... Though Im not a fan of the repeating synth on the left...

Hmm I should def check the left synth, I thought it would be cool to hard pan it but I guess I messed up.

I have enjoyed it.
The mix is a bit lean, missing a lot of mid / side processing. There is too much panning and little stereo information on the bass harmonics and main instruments for my taste. I would like to hear the piano in the center. There's a background hiss that muddies the mix, I don't like it. The kick drowns in the bottom, you may need to study the sidechain technique.
I like the composition in general, it is interesting. I can't say the same about mixing, but you learn over time.

I have the feeling that you have used compression and EQ excessively, you have to work more on the arrangements and use less processing.

My early songs sounded similar, as if they were dull behind the ears. Do you have any more songs that we can listen to?

Now that I took some break, I realized the mistakes, I kinda lost perception since I've been looping the song for hours two days straight, I'll fix them asap.

If you want to pass me the raw stems I would love to mix and master one of your songs. WebTransfer? GoogleDrive? You must type the name of the instrument on each track to speed up startup in my DAW.
