To save time we need to make a monthly plugin area or some kind of top ranked portion of audioz. The weekly changes too much and too fast. So for some veterans like myself when we come back we can just look at the top100 plugins and save a ton of time scrolling through all the BS fox samples stuff or the 50th lo fi splice packs. PLEASE figure out a way to organize top plugins.

Also archive each month so we can go into the different months of top plugins based on the upvotes.

Dude I'm hitting the sites like 30 times a day.
    You just check it weekly?
    Come on

Audioz is so good sometimes you can miss things in 2-3 hours after it was posted so as fast as I see something cool I download it immediately.
Sometimes posts just disappear in a few hours not joking so you have to visit the site every 2-3 hours

I suggested this a couple years ago, and I was told it was a great idea I believe by the mods or Saint, but was never implemented.

It makes the website so much more user friendly when you can find what plugins/libraries were most desired or popular for a period of time. Say a post had 50 or 60+ thumbs up (indicating a hot post), you locate those posts using a filter specifying whether you want a plugin or sample library that had a certain amount of likes) then just download to give a try. They can narrow it down further to platform ()win/mac) and allow you to specify a period). As presently constructed, if a person stepped away from music or went on vacation for an extended period of time, locating what was popular or things to test in his absence involves going through each page day by day. Not as user friendly after a hiatus.

With this said, the website works fine and doesn't stop me from making me music. But it sure would be a nice feature to have as you can waste a lot of time.

I remember when I was talking to other producers and doing collabs no one even knew how to open ableton and they had bigger releases than me. There's literally like 10 studios that make 99% of the music now and the 'artists' who pays the most gets the best records. I do it for the fun of it though so it's all good.

Interesting. I know we are all different.
I admit I enjoy just browsing to see what devs are coming up with even though I don't specifically need anything, and sometimes I'm like "Oooo, I didn't know this existed" or "Wow that's exactly the sort of tool I was wishing existed. I NEED it!", but if I actually am looking for a specific product before I buy it, I will just use the Search function.
Whereas your comments seem like you will browse for ages just to try out something that seems interesting.
And you go through "each page day by day", what, just to see if there's something you feel like you want to try? Something you feel you may have 'missed'?
We really only need a modern daw with it's stock plugins to do what we do, imo. Logic's EXS24, or the new Logic Sampler, is great if someone doesn't have Kontakt. But I admit instruments are usually better form a third party that focuses just on that, rather than any daw's stock instruments.
Third party is a bonus, but not of paramount importance to me.

Your quite logical & possibly timesaving suggestion might well benefit a certain type of user. But to suggest it would result in more hits is mistaken. If your suggestion was implemented it would 100% definitely reduce site visits overall, with an immediate increase in targeted monthly or bi-weekly visits to the suggested 'greatest hits' page only - and a massive reduction on the (habitualising) daily, bi-daily or weekly visits enjoyed currently.

Yes please! Or just implement it in advanced search so you can select last month, order by rating and search WITHOUT KEYWORD

I use another site with a 'popular' section, it hasn't changed in about 2.5 years so its pretty much useless, also the site has a shitty search feature, this actually makes it better because copyright claims take longer

Id be happy with a filter system in which you would see only stuff you are interested in and could filter out things you are not like oh. i dont know .wav & loop releases as an example. maybe implemented in your setting "view filter" or something and yes i know you can look for things spacifically in the left side bar im talk more filtering the main page feed so. you see everything but (insert type of release here)

as I can understand you want a f... "magic buton" apparently to "save time"? because 20 seconds is too much for you? or are you too lazy to do a few mouse clicks once a month?

what you need can be done for a long time. just use search.
for example, you need a list of top plugins posted within last month, right? ok...

    1. enter VST in a search field at the top of the page and hit enter
    2. after loading the page with the search results, press "advanced search"
    3. after loading advanced searh page set advanced search options:
    - Posted within: Last months (or Since Last visit) / newer
    - Sort results by Rating / descending
    - Search in categories: Software or your OS, also you can choose few categories (Windows + Mac OSX, Windows + Linux, etc)
    4. click at advanced search field and hit enter
    5. enjoy!

For all of us that can be under the label of "not-making-money-thru-music-as-primary-source " dont "NEED" any new plugins.

its like hardware gear, you dont "need" it. but its "nice to have" same with all VST's.

you are not "missing out" on any plugins, there is no urgency. relax yourself

IF - there was a new tool out, that was very very usefull, dont you think you would notice it somehow? if the tool was "the newestbest@fixing X" you would hear or read about it from someone you know personaly or you noticed someone talking about a new "plugin"

or God forbid, you came to this forum and read about :).

It's not a bad idea. But I just don't think it's really necessary enough for anyone to spend time implementing it. Really you can check the site once a day and see what's popping up in the weekly top and you're good to go. If you can't spend literally 5 seconds of your day to check the site to save literal 1000s of dollars, well I don't know what to say. And as others have pointed out, there is a way to organize recent releases by popularity. And if anything big were to come out, Ozone 10, Serum 2, you would certainly hear about it elsewhere. Also certain very desirable releases are sometimes only up for a few hours before they're taken down, so it pays to be checking often.

Hmz I hardly watch the weekly top so a monthly option would be useless for me. To be honest, I can always find what I need. Sure, it prefers a daily check to see what's posted and to be a bit uptodate but if you know whát you need, the search engine works fine enough. The fun part is btw when I see updates for tools that I bought while the developers were too lame to let us know, or when there's a new Logic version available while the Apple Store isn't that fast, happens each time
