Enough of spamming here :winker:My last track for a possible EP. Hope you like it.
It's a bit unusual to go in without Rumble. Should I? Would be nice to get an answer and general feedback to finish this track!

[IMG] That waveform trick is good (EDIT it looked different this noon, slowly and constantly up and down, like a wave. I think my Opera browser suffers from Covid-19, makes a lot of strange things today).

    First synth comes too early.
The additional synth at 2:19 doesn't make sense because it stops right after a short very appereance.
The BD gets drowned too often by the synths and percussion.

But on principle I like the track.

Ignore what's "in style." Ignore criticism. Make music that you want to hear . . . regardless of its classification . . . Techno, Dubstep, Mis-Step, no-Step, Stepless, etc. Your track has a nice build-up. I'd get up and dance to it.

tanks flor the upload. The track turnes out boring after a wile. It lacks tension. Intro, buid, Drop, breakdown, build2, Drop2, Outro. That's the standard and it works mostly ever. And as No Avenger mentioned, the 2nd synth line is aforeign body. Skip, rearange and give it a second try here, it may be worth it

Not bad, but there's space to improve. Some elements should be removed.
    Those "kid's synths" should go...

No Techno expert... but I sounds from the period 2000-2010 to me. Germanish. For me it needs to be made more interesting with FX and percussion, I think. I am also wondering if the kick is not too high for these days. For me it doesn't take me into that "f*ck yeah" vibe... it's ok, not bad, but I am sure you are not trying to accomplish ok. But music is also a big taste thing (what 10 people don't like, 10 others do), keep that in mind. Keep it up.

I use dubstep style synths and reeses in techno all the time mate and I make dark techno as an artist. Maybe you need to widen your listening.

    Ok my take on it:

    1. Arrangement-wise the intro is too short - you should aim for 32 bars
    2. Agree the first synth comes in too early and this is a general comment, you need to consider how you bring elements into the mix as you want it to build. Consider use of filter/gain automation so stuff just doesnt go plop and land in the mix at full volume. The first drop in from the intro can just be a kick, bassline on its own and then build the percussion alongside the other elements.General rule of thumb is to try and change 'something' in the track every 8 bars to keep the listener interested. This can be extra layers of percussion/synths being added removed, filter or automation type changes, variation in notes in arpeggios etc.
    3. Percussion in general is a bit light - needs more hihat and stuff layers e.g. open hihats, rides etc its a bit lacking and sounds more like chilled house than hard hitting techno. Start with a really strong offbeat shaker/hihat- listen to stuff like Umek/Spektre.
    4. Bassline sounds a bit muffled with the kick maybe double check all the low end stuff is fully sidechained away from the kick.
    5. Definitely needs more fx like downlifters/uplifters etc and general ambient fx like little hits and whooshes. It's the little fx which separate often make a track sound more pro.

Modern techno is such garbage, and people are even elitist about it being garbage

Any soyboy with a groovebox can make 99% of modern techno tracks, but if you have dreams of DJ'ing a club where a bunch of hipsters stand around and talk then you have to play by their rules.
