Hello! Just updated SSQ to version 5.0.

While i work on new projects, i'm trying to improve existing plugins, too.

Lots of changes with SSQ to move it top!

Also, added analysis files for SSQ.

Version 5.0

- Redesigned whole circuit to get better response as hardware

- Reduced CPU usage

- Improved harmonic finger-print

- Fixed Bypass buttons for Filter and General (Important for automation and MIDI control)

He really upped his game since he switched to Patreon. His Konsol and TuPre plugins are among the best analog summing plugins i tried.

 

Oh yeah, HARQULES also coming soon updated.
Rare and RareSE removed from his site because it has wrong behaviour with higher sample rates or so... So it will be updated/reworked again

 

Analog Obsession.. The same analog obsession that makes broken plugins quickly slapped together without working knobs, meters, oversampling etc?

The real question is, did he actually model this based on a console or is he just pulling it out of thin air based on what everyone that's never even seen or touched an SSL thinks they should sound like?

 

You dont see it, doesnt mean its not happening =)

If its not an accurate or well done analog model, why not use any other digital comp or eq (Very many free options)
I dont have any problem really with the existence of this plugin,
But with all the cult-like interest about it, i thought id balance out the scale.
Yin/Yang, everything needs contrast =)

 

I played with the SSQ just now and was not expecting this. The sound has a great texture and the drive knob is a nice touch. It's been drastically improved since the last version of SSQ that I used. Boosts and cuts sound completely different with character and are much more useable imo.

I visited the dev's site trying to find a manual for this hoping to find out some more details. It's inspiring to see their progress. I'm happy that these have been on the radar here!
