The preset manager is here. A game changer. And they did it for ($189 Exclude VAT, spire only) FREE!? Once again. OMFG!!!

No DSP improvements? I still can't get clean sines, analysers show simple sines with artifacts. But sample manager.... It is just for faster preset-music production than before...mainly.... Good update, but it should be 1.2.0 after 1.1.17, not 1.5.0.....
2.0.0 will bring a new dark lite skin, 1 small bug fix and factory bank number 9 with the biggest long-awaited feature like keyboard panel....And goodbye Windows Vista-7-8-8.1 OSes party downgrade. Download will be for latest buggiest non-working Win10 and latest macOS 13 "Chernobyl PITA", which not supported by your DAW and audiointerfaces fully) quite paradoxal.
Back to Spire Inc. Team.... For me, most significant they do is in smaller number versions, like serious bug fixes, improvements and new features in DSP, oscillators, filters sections.... Not all the GUI shti

It does have a dirty character. Always sounds slightly distorted, but that character is useful for a lot of things. If you want perfect clinical sines use Serum.

I agree that we could wait for more than just a preset manager in that new version.

I'm still waiting for at least 4 complex/free envelopes
    Drag and drop modulation
    Load your own wave forms

But good news is that it's still in development . I thought it was definitely parked.

It has a preset manager, but it seems like a slug on my system.
It indexes its own Factory presets fine, but it chokes on my old presets folder.
So I moved them all from the subfolders I'd made and into the main "Banks" folder.
Still gags and chokes and won't show the 3rd party patches.
I removed most of them and it did ok.
Same issue with the "R2R v1.5.0" and the "V.R v1.5.1" versions, so I was thinking it is something with my setup.
Need to try a few things...

D'oh! Spire is so badass, I love it's sound! Making arps with it is a dream.
You could get lost for hours because of it's beautiful sound.
This preset manager was exactly what this synth needed.
It was such a pain to scroll through patches before.

Have to add I agree with DoubleTake. My copy became pretty sluggish when I favorite presets for later tweaking. Takes a while for it to register marking & unmarking favorite presets.
I wonder if there is a fix for this that I could try.

Sylenth1 needs to do something similar. I have like 1800 banks and i cant even think about scrolling through that many

So true, Sylenth could have benefited from this more than any other plugin ages ago because it's been around forever & has accumulated too many presets. Sylenth still sounds great after all these years.

Preset managing should be standard across most if not all plugins though, it just makes things a breeze. Especially NI type preset managers with a ton of depth.

Some people like it because of this. Like myself, for example. It's a feature, not a bug.

I also had about 1800 banks for Sylenth1, but I don't need banks in all genres. I just listened to all the banks from my favorite genre and left the highest quality ones. It turned out to be about 50 banks. It's already easier to work this way. But it took several days.

I think I figured it out. At least what my issue was with the sluggish makring of favorite presets. I was viewing them from the general categories like Arps, Leads, Basses Atmospheres and such and because there were so many presets loaded into each folder as I was browsing it, it took too long to favorite them.

But when I browsed them from individual preset packs I had no sluggish issues like that. Hope this helped someone. Alternatively I think I need to do what @Xander_neo did and sort out my presets folder to consolidate it and this would probably help that over all issue indirectly too.
