hey guys

After installing this crap kontakt 5.2.1 R2R it has started to crash and i cant work on tht version as it really not tht good update..
and when
i reinstall old version K 5.2.0 it works fine but now all of a sudden half of the old libraries have started up showing in DEMO version.
and asks me to activate and this only happens in vsti not in standalone version in standalone all are fine so now how can i get this working in vsti version.

as there is no help or solution on Google on this as i have been looking for it for last three days.can some one help me...stuck in a mids of a project n need those old libraries asap

will be grt if some one could give me a working solution as 5.2.0 works fine on both old and new libraries
as i use to work on the same till this new update came.... but now it is giving me issues

You've already asked that question at the audioz-release thread. There you wrote you've received an error when applying the patch. This is really strange as the R2R release is pre-patched and there is no patch to apply! Are you sure you used the correct release?

Secondly..I have the same setup as you have (Win7 64bit with Cubase5.1.1) I've just tried and there was no error while installation (I also uninstalled 5.2.0 before installing v5.2.1). Also as far as I can see all old librarys still work. You should read the post above at audioz from User "Tracer" and clean up your registry manually and then install again if you are sure you got it from a serious source!

 

Thirdly, search this forum before posting, this problem has been discussed (and solved) before

I would recommend that you stay away from the 5.1 and above Kontakts until something more stable is out. I myself can't sacrifice my workflow for getting more lib's at this moment, plus sooner or later something stable pops up. You can always make music while you wait. :dancing:

 

Hmm, even I'm not the one who had the described problem..I would prefer to post the link to the related discussion instead of writing tons of non helpful bullshit...but thats only my opinion..Maybe there is a deeper sense in doing so!

 

Well I don't know if you were referring to my post or what but if you were the deeper sense is give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime. Basically I would have to do the same thing that I'm telling him to do which is search for it so if he wants help that's what he should be willing to do. Otherwise everyone has to answer questions over and over and over again and that's not being helpful to all the people answering which is a greater amount than the one person asking.

 

So, where is that fucking thread? Now I'm also interested in..and I used the search function...and I used keywords like Kontakt v5.2.1, Library and demo mode...the results I found had nothing to do with the discribed issue!

And dude you need to relax and check your tone with me. I don't know even know what you're getting so frustrated about if you're not the one with the problem in the first place.

Do you have a backup of your libraries with the KLM 3 tool? If you do then you can wipe all traces from the registry and reinstall the version that worked for you, then just add the backups to the registry. You could also try a System Restore and see if that can't resolve the problem. PS if you're in the middle of a project maybe that's not the best time to be dealing with updating to a new version. If you were taking the liberty of doing that then you should be aware that this could happen.

 

It looks like the OP is on that denial factor about the latest Kontakt releases. Come on, bru, about 90 percent of people are having a similar problem with anything above 5.0.3. If there was a solution to it someone here would have instantly posted a real fix, not a workaround that crashes later. Unfortunately workarounds are the only thing that people have figured out, which is cool cause it gets you by. But sooner or later that shite gets wonky and we get people requesting help for something that they know is not possible at this moment.

Uninstall previous Kontakt 5.x.
Install

To use library for Kontakt Player/Intakt/Kompakt,
you need to add the information due to the protection scheme.

1.Run the Kontakt.
2.Click "Libraries" tab.
3.Click "Add Library" button.
4.Select the directory of the library.
5.Done!

* Trouble Shooting For Library *

When you experience well known error mesasge,
"This library is encrypted blah blah"

Try this :

1.Delete the registry key related to that library
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\(LibName)

2.Delete the from registry value related to that library
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Content

3.Delete the xml file related to that libary
%Program Files%\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

4.Now, run the Kontakt and add that library again.

5.Give up if you still have the problem :D

Unlocking library in Kontakt is not a complicated job.
If you just get errors on one or few libraries,
it does not mean it is crack related.
(Or, do you really think NI codes special lines to protect
those few libraries? Of course NO.)
Also we indicate that some libraries are broken,
because of the bad modification.


Can also be of great importance :

When installing a new version of 'Kontakt, think not only to uninstall your previous version of 'Kontakt', but also all what is related to that specific version within the 'Windows Registry'. This way, your new 'Kontakt' version to be installed will write its own stuff within your 'Windows Registry' on a fresh new basis... *yes*

 

Wow this thread is even more ridiculous than I previously thought. I forgot that R2R covered this and I'm currently on 5.1.0 with no issues. People can't even be bothered to read but we're expected to waste our time trying to fix it. Thanks Studio 555 for providing that important tidbit of information that everyone should have already read. Everyday it's the same stupid problem: my kontakt library is in demo mode, can't be activated, encrypted...blah blah blah. Learn to fish...or die of starvation.

 

Wonderful..this is like users should answer. Thanks Catalyst and the others..And SORRY, but I'm just fucked up when users post only wise advices like.."Use search function, this problem already has been solved in another thread" or what ever. Answer related to the problem or dont answer at all. BTW, copying a link and paste it would be much easier than writing useless advices!

 

It's cool man but you need to realize that it's a rule to search the forums first and I did provide useful advice. I asked whether he had made a backup with KLM (which could then be restored after an uninstall and removal of all keys) and I also suggested a System Restore. We answer like that because it's tiring when a new Kontakt question springs up everyday when it's already been covered by both R2R and in the forums. It's hard enough to answer everyone with new questions but old ones are just a waste.

 

When in doubt,uninstall,clean registry with ccleaner and reinstall.Also,there is tons of info on the various workarounds for the known problems if you bother to ask the right questions in Google.

well neither i am interested or anyone here in wasting their time posting things
when even after doing all the solutions at my end and even reading the tracer info .... things are not working the same for all.GO n read those tons of post facing problem...

when u install the tracer kontk u cannot go in edit of the older libraries which is off no use.
so i had to go back to old version
and that is when i came across this problem. AND to be more precise i did the search for couple of times on this forum....and even there are many saying the same... so if u know where the link is just repaste that link rather being rude to all forum members.
if i had known the solution why would i come here and ask or waste my time ...

AND even there are many thing to what people are new too... like i dontknow what is KLM3 TOOL when i do a search on google i get so vauge products so now to know if i post something here it should not be any thing wrong the forum is here for that i suppose.
