Well, I thought there's only 'Riders' and American Prayer album (after Jim died) that feature Rhodes. But yeah.
Other than that it's all Vox organ and Taurus (or whatever) bass.

Great dynamics and variation of sound. Looks like they've done a great job again.

For more info on the piano and the project.
The sound doesn't seem to be so far from the latest Scarbee Rhodes judging from the walkthrough.

As a working keys player I use various Rhodes a lot, and I have a '68 Wurli 200A.
So, just as I HAD to have Piano in Blue because of it being the actual Miles/Herbie model, recorded in original situ, I will definitely try this out considering it is the model that all the great cats have played!
@chopin4525 I agree, it sounds nice and dynamic as Scarbee's.
But until it's under my fingers, I won't really know!

edit: oookay, 5mins 44 was all I could stomach of Don's insensitive striking of the keys! Almost vomited. But I caught that it has a lovely tone and sounds like it has a nice dynamic range.
Thanks @Don Bodin for always keeping us up to date with new stuff. It saves me time!

Wow. If Orange Tree Samples have even captured 50% of what this model sounded like in these recordings, I need this.

Scarbee Classic EP-88s blows this out of the water.

Maybe. But did you hear that very characterful drift on sustained notes? It's lovely.
I would have loved if Thomas Skarbye could have done a deeper sample of this model! As this seems like a small footprint for such a sought-after model. I would have thought it needed more samples.
But then OTS do know what they are doing, and most of their instruments are extremely playable.

almost all the demos I've heard have really odd dynamics. makes me wonder if it's something about the way it was sampled.

Maybe you didn't hear the OTS demo.
    It reveals...it is very responsive!
    I think I'm sold.

    Great quote from YT comments:
"if you don"t hear the difference between the sound of a normal "Mark I", a 88 notes one, a Mark V, Mark II and this "E rhodes", from Arturia, Scarbee, GM, Keyscape aand now OTS, you don't need it. This rhodes has a unique sound, and it will interest a lot of the westcoast fans who know this sound signature (you can hear it on Mornin' from Al Jarreau and many other hits from that era). this beast is kind of the best sounding rhodes ever released. it's not just a "rhodes"."
    I totally agree.

Yah that one sounds really good. Most of the others sound like the velocity was cranked to only cover the 80-100% range.

As a keyboard player for over 30 years, I'd say that was lack of playing technique of the players in the demos!
Rhodes, ac piano, and Hammond (although non-vel, obvs), all require individual study. Pianists don't always have the touch for Rhodes. And coming straight from non-vel organ training it's sometimes hard for people to adjust to the responsiveness of a Rhodes.

It seems the samples weren't denoised unlike in Scarbee. So some problems with noise buildup are likely to happen in certain situations.
In some sense mantaining the noise is true to the original instruments but not thinking about a way to prevent some recording artifacts is lazyness at its best imho.
