    I wouldn't mind offering you a subscription.. at the same time i might raise the price for the full product by 100%. I mean if you don't want to buy it you can go for the subscription offer so there is no reason to complain right? Plus I only do this so the subscription offer will seem to be even cheaper and you will be even more happy to be able to just pay 2% of the full price every month which seems like virtually nothing. It will seem like you can go on using the product forever ( it is 50 month but that is long enough to seem like forever ) without ever paying as much as you would if you were actually buying it.. In reality you will pay for the product ( the initial price) within roughly two years (25 month) and after that you will still go on paying without ever being able to own the product. Plus everybody stupid enough to actually buying the product will pay twice as much as before.. That is what i call a win - win situation for me and myself.

    Damn ... now that SO5 supports notation they make the product available only for Windows 10 :excl:
    So, in the next OS installation i will have to abandon my super stable windows 8.1... :deep_facepalm:

    What a big pile of shit! :facepalm:

    :rofl:

    During livestream they said that nothing is going to change regarding prices of their products. Not now and not in the future. Besides, this subscription doesn't cover S1 only. It's basically everything they produced, cloud, some kind of social media amd finally a collaboration tool.
    But I think they failed a little bit - they should've put much more things into this service, especially in tutorial section, samples from other developers with pre-made kits in Impact and Sample One(like Ableton), to make some agreements with other plugin developers, so of you have the subscription, you can buy those plugins cheaper. This what they want to become in the future, but should've made it now. So, I think in 2-3 years this Sphere thing will be cool, but not now.
    Long story short, don't confuse it with typical subscription models and don't panic - prices for license will be the same(400 for full version, 150 for major update; plus BFs and other ways of buying it cheaper).

    I read (on the Presonus site) that Sphere is going to continually grow with more content being added each month

    Yeah, I know. They said all of that during that livestream. I mean that they should've added more stuff right from the start. For example, I remember they collaborated with Hugo(GoldBaby), why they didn't do it again to produce a whole new bunch of samples and production tools(all those patters, impact etc.)? It would've been a great idea.

    Developers usually don't read people's opinions on forums and do what they like.

    There is no perpetual fallback version, so you will be left with what you had before (either nothing or v4)

    Presence is no VST , so that wont work. The only way to get the sounds might be to resample each instrumet and map it to a sampler of choice

    Hmm,
    same song test optimization on OSX iMac Pro:
    S1v4 cpu loads at 30%;
    S1v5 cpu overloads and drops out incoming...this is the Acustica CelestialMB plugin that is not well optimized

    I would like that some news like the listening bus and the MTC would be implemented in the S1v4.7 and then waiting for a stable v5.x

    :(

    I looked that up that's really cool and super useful for my laptop. I'd opt for the Lite+ version, though to keep Windows Update as a viable future.
