As the title says. Small room and looking for non intrusive decent speakers to use for practicing and messing about at home, also as cheap as possible is a bonus and don't really want to spend more than £125 ish, but the least spent the better. Also, willing to entertain left field ideas like a sound bar too :)

Wow! Another killer mini monitor. Again it kills the budget for only one... but maybe he was giving a budget for "each".
(And I guess he added his budget to his first post before i saw it... And actually, considering his equipment list, I'd guess he could expand that budget )
I am stuck with a pair of old RCA Pro-x44av (or Radio Shack, as they were) and these look so tempting...:woot:
But I personally will wait and save for larger active monitors since these fill the mini void.

i second the presonus. but that price is each, and at that size really wants a sub. not a fan of krk, just me.
for your price range you might consider media listening speakers, like gaming speakers. they will all be heavily colored though.
what alot of the suggestions here are referring to are called nearfield monitors, or mixing monitors. so you know the term. and i would definitely recommend listening first. if you can find a pro audio store open that will let you listen to their selections. im looking to upgrade my monitors, but my price range is a little higher than yours and have room treatment.
    good luck

Also depends on if your want front or rear facing ports.
    - Rear-facing need to be quite close to a flat wall behind them.

Small and about £125 (at least in my country)? I cannot think of anything else than Eris E4.5.

I've been using the Mackie C300Z 12″ and absolutely love it. Out of all monitor speakers I've owned, this one has the best quality sound for the price. There are other good DJ speakers available for your budget but I'm a Mackie snob ;)

Hahah Well 12" woofers in 26"h x16"w x 14"d for DJ work are going to be hard to beat with a small speaker.
These can be not just monitors but part of a performing rig.
I think the idea was for something smaller :
