Why not use Saturation / low end enhancher instead of wasting money on hardware?
LoAir, MaxxBass, RBass, Submarine, Sonnox Inflator, Noveltech charakter, Abbey roads Vinyl, J37
try them first and i am sure you wont need hardware synths for now so you can save some cash

Yeah, maybe I should have not used the word Rumble, as I understand something different under Rumble than the 100s of How to Youtube Videos. But I agree, a pro that knows 50-100 Plugins by heart can probably chain them to get a good result. I have reduced the number of plugins I use because I want to get better at a few than ok at many. At the end the question remains, does analog synth have something vst synths dont have?

A lot of electro producers dont mind this kind of low quality plastic sound, (Spire presets) for them its good enough, not everyone is going for the highest possible. But the high end techno sounds have incredible basslines, if you watch some of the best dj / producers of techno displaying their studios and gear on youtube, they all have multiple synths (analog and digital) for pads, bassline, drums....effects racks. They say only compressor and limiter plugins are as good as racks. Also, a lot of plugins create unwanted polltion in the sound space in contrast some hardware synths have zero pollution, the sound is crystal clear for example the Nord Lead 4R for Lead or Pluck sounds.

I want to learn how to get that sound, those that do youtube content dont know about it and the best dont tell their secrets. I know many people dont care, Avici made his tracks on Fl Studio with just a midi keyboard and sold millions but this is not what I am going for. This is just process to find out how to get there.

So can anyone tell me something about the hardware list?

I have to find a good quality version, there is a huge difference already between the vinyl and digital versions. FLAC?

  5. I have no idea what pollution with vst compared with hardware is. I have a lot of hardware. Virus ti2, Arturia Matrixbrute, Minimoog, Moog Sub 37, Roland JD-XA, Roland System 1-m and more. None of it is necessary for a big fat bass line. What is needed isn't even solely a big fat bass vst. It's how you've arranged it, how you've treated it, how you've mixed it. What sort of space have you given it in your arrangement? Has it got enough headroom for it to be the driving instrument you want? What is on your master bus? There are many aspects that come together to create a huge bass sound. One synth is not the single piece of the puzzle.

Hey Molly. I can't help you out with your request as I don't own any hardware synths, but just to say, I know what you mean with the analogue sound. It can't be replicated as far as I have experienced, trying out many soft synths and vst's to roughen up and deepen the sound. There's just something special about the real analogue hardware synth. It produces a certain dopamine rush in your brain when it's played. I haven't yet experienced the same rush software-wise. I hope that you find something that can replicate that sound that you're looking for.

Just to prove Lenny's Point about not so much what hardware you use, but all the other bits that go into making a good mix. I've taken a midi file and used ONLY a really old synth .. Hypersonic and showing you what can be done by giving the bass a decent space to breathe and a bit of added sub.

It'll be ready in about 20 minutes .

    Here:-

And Hypersonic 2 was a vst that came out in 2006!

I think you are talking about the difference in the nature of vinyl and digital audio formats. Vinyl has a warmth and fullness that still has people buying records. This could be enhanced with some of the hi-fi systems that go with record players and the vintage speakers with the massive magnets etc. Have you checked the same track on digital format and does it sound the same? And if so can you post it here so we can hear what you mean?

Also maybe you need a sub in your setup?

  15. Molly Poppins has started another thread on the same subject. Your tonsorial splendour was all for nought. Maybe it's just me, but I have a soft spot for any crazy eyed moose. Sorry it's just a soft spot, but I'm not young and with the medication....I'm sure you understand.

All you do is post smart ass comments, no real contribution. Also, the Threads are NOT the same:
    1. Software Threads questions my ability to take the Bass Synth Vsti to the max? Looking for answers that elevate my vsti skills, tips and tricks that are at a higher level.
    2. Gear Thread contempaltes buying a hardware synth to reach a specific sound? Looking for answers that justify the investment, is it really worth it, will I get the sound. What is the experience of the owners of such hardware.

So read and understand before you post your toxicity!
