On a daily basis I compose orchestral, film music but I wanted to try something completely different to
refresh my brain haha :D
So here it is, Tropical House genre. Let me know what you think!

Strange. Seems like when the kick hits, your whole mix (regardless of sidechain pump) ducks or something? Or the sidechaining on the inst tracks is a bit...strange?
I can't tell what is making it seem unnatural to me.
Other than that, nice sound pallette choices. But the mix doesn't do it for me!

The vid looks really nice,the track is good,i feel the kick should be more upfront/punchy in the mix,
check the bass/kick relation frequency wise & overall compression/limiting.

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, I definitely need to work on mixing, you know it was my first attempt in this kind of music, so a lot to learn!

 

This screams "classical music mixing" from miles . Not much compressed and Percussion-Bass are the "poor relatives" of the orchestra.
Apart from joking, @SpyFx ✪ is right. You should pump it up.

Czy to Morze Bałtyckie?

 

Oh, I wish I used a free video I found on pexels or something like that and then I edited it to look like it's a loop (with reversed video). And it worked !

nice track. you nailed the feel production wise i can't help you but i think this track with some real vocals added will be a banger

I think my break lasts a little bit longer, but I have so much fun :D now something like chillout house, well I don't know exactly what's the genre, there are so many out there

 

Love the sunny vibes here! And good work on the transitions and breaks... I always find myself doing a not so good job on those! I agree with @SpyFx ✪ that the kick could be more present and punchy. Also, for this genre, I think a fatter bottom would be great! Just my personal opinion. All in all, great work!!!
