Hi

I´ve been looking all over the forum and it seems like this Topic hasn´t been really seriously threaded!

I would love to make my own scripts with Kontakt, and have been looking all over the internet, and only found a few places where these things are discripted! Also a few tutorials has been released about this issiue, but in general its hard to find anything really good on this subject!

So ...... if any of you have some knowledge or know where to find quality informations on this issiue, I would appriciate it a lot!

I looked for it myself and it is really difficult to get started on Kontakt scripting. One thing I found was the scripting language was explained in reference manual of Kontakt 2 (or it could be Kontakt 3). This should get you started, also there are some script libraries around covering a lot of the basic stuff, like these:

I don't know what you looking for, but Kontakt already have some templates for basic and more of basic scritps, and you have Kontakt programing tutorial in docs folder with documentation of script functions and basic usage...

You can also look for other scripts of some comercial libraries, just edit script and see what is going on, that's the better way.

yes they are you can´t take scripts from other commercial Libs and release it to public , if you are using it only for yourselves this should be no problem !


Kontakt scripting isn´t that easy anymore and has alot engine feature which you needs to learn very well and to know how to integrate !

if you want just make a script with adding a wallpaper , and make the knobs available on the wallpaper , but its only that it looks nicer !

Kontakt scripting can be very very time expensive too !

as mention before Nils Liberg´s Website are an good start for scripting !

Comercial scripts only for learning purpose, not to re-release it itselef.

Great script (basis functions) are in "Virology library" for Kontakt.

These scripts are just fine, and easy to learn

- declaring variables
- using knobs (adding variables to knobs)
- defining basic methods for knobs (volume, filter cutoff etc...)

 

...but as i mentioned before, Kontakt has allready fine collection of templates for basic ADSR/Filter functionality for samples, just pick it from list
