    triode/pentode tube saturation/distortion. Try the BlackBox. Probably the closest thing there is.

    About half a year ago when UAD had a sale for the Vulture I intensly compared it to Black Box, VSM-3, Karacter and Decapitator and I have to say that Groove is right: they can't do what the Vulture can.
    Black Box, VSM-3 and Karacter are really great, but the Vulture distortions are very different and very special, and so I bought it.
    Decapitator has a Vulture-Mode, but for me it is the worst one of its five modes.

    I confirm the above!
    Culture Vulture has no equal, but it depends on what you want to do. However in 90% of cases, if not more, I always find what I am looking for or with the Thermionic or with the Decapitator.
