    2. How many writing camps have you been to? Not necessary - It's a digital world
    3. How many playlists have you been listed on? Have you tried to build relationships with key figures of these playlists and Spotify as a company? Not necessary - It's a digital world
    4. You're in America, have you ever been to LA, Nashville, or New York to write with others? Not necessary, why do you've to do that to write music? - Music in America is dead and in general but more dead in America lol

The only real failure is to cease to even try.

Unless you're awesomely connected/gorgeous, to have even the smallest chance of standing out you simply must take a chance and strike-out writing unique material that actually conveys essential meaning to you at the very least.

    Top Tips:
    1. Don't get depressed contemplating what you do not have or have not done.
    2. Keep productive & be happy.
    3. Have a good time all of the time.***

For myself, i accept the 'curse' of my thankless muse as paypack for all the terrible things i must have done in a previous life...

bounce back.. just lose it.. music is in you.. to make it happen, you must be in the music, like the music is in you.. if you get what i mean, something like that :shalom:allow yourself to immerse into the groove and nothing else, may it happen, wish you lots of luck and lots of killer groove  sending you some musical spirits..

I completely agree on that. during the last decade I've seen so many young people over the internet and the real world who tend to think that the music industry and business is something like an "endless party" for them. The majority of them had a quick realization that it isn't. fame and glory nowadays is almost nothing. It comes and goes as fast as you have it these days, the internet is a quick and cruel place, even if you have real success or not.
Besides, business is business - if you can't afford it, don't do it.

a huge part of market is only accessible ''over LA''
when ever david guetta was only busy in many other things related to the his part of the biz...but he got zero clue bout music

but on other hand you can make it also there comin from millions of clicks self made
but huge task...music part is '''40%''' in that...

in my opinion successes are miracles. Even most of the big bands we know, we like maybe 5-10 songs from them?

lets say 10 hits which that would be amazing for any band

now split that over the 30 year career.........

so 1 hit every 3 years of so

even if you have success doesn't mean next year you will have another one......sometimes it takes less, longer

I had written a very long extremely blackly humorous but highly misanthropic anti-social post and then I went back and saw you said you had a bad year and it might not seem that funny so I replaced it with bacon...

success is indeed a relative thing in the music industry. even if you get some of your tracks famous, it does not mean that you'll be able to make a decent living out of it the next day or even the next month, year, or whatever

  15. I've passed the 40 year mark with no success. My biggest royalty check was $75. I often want to give up, as a way of giving the music business the middle finger...a big fuck you very much you bitch! But then I think..."what the hell else would I want to do with my life?" and I write another tune and drool looking at synths I'll never afford. And when I'm gone my music will be on Soundcloud. Then the Sun will die and the Universe may implode on itself and nothing I did or didn't do will make any difference.

It sounds well produced, but is very predictable because it is dance-pop from the build-ups to the lyrics. It's like the skills are there but the taste in music is the bland with sweetness but nothing else.

How do you define success? Making money? If you really love doing something in general, you'll never care about success. Each finished project will develop your artistic identity. The less you think about being successful, the more successful you get. You need to show the world that you don't care about success and money. People will take not of that and they will acknowledge you as a great musician because you are real. You're doing great! Hang in there and keep going!
