Yo, I was never a fan of kontakt because of my very poor hd, I got an SSD now and I get that some libraries kotakt recognize very well but some others just dont shows on the libraries lists, wich files needs to be in wich place to it work properly?

Well, it looks like that library doesn't have a .nicnt file, so you'll either have to create a .nicnt file by using mini-nicnt or something similar, or go to the FILES tab in Kontact and load the intruments directly (they'll be located under the library's 'Instruments' folder). Once you've found the intrument(s), you can then add them to your 'Quick Load' panel, which is available by right-clicking near the bottom of the Kontakt GUI.

 

...don't forget to "batch re-save" the library (select the option under the disk icon near the top, click "Yes" then locate the library folder) - this can speed-up instrument patch loading considerably, no matter which type of storage device you use!

Heeey, I have kontakt 6.00, I couldnt update to the last one because it says that I dont have kontakt installed, I've tried to install it by renaming the "kontakt_portable(XX).dll" But I'm not sure if I did it right, also, im getting this error when I click add library https://imgur.com/R3alo34

 

Each liberary needs a unique ID. You can find lists on the web or take a chance just making a number up - as long as it doesn't conflict with another installed library it won't matter if you do. I keep an excel spreadsheet with the ID numbers i've used (along with the Manufacturer & Library details) which is useful if you do this many times so as not to get flustered next time...

BTW, did you place the .nicnt file in the library's main folder?

You can add libraries by pressing the "manage libraries" button near the top left of the Kontakt GUI

 

You need to go inside that folder and select the library file that will be there if a .nicnt file exists for the lib.

The pharlight lib probably needs the latest kontakt. You should be able to grab that from the sister site.

Hmm, either you didn't fill in all the fields properly in MINI-NICNT or the id you entered conflicts with another library or possibly because your version of Kontakt is simply too old...

If none of the above fixes it , er i'm out of advice... take it up with someone more knowledgeable like @The Pirate or @Xupito - i know they adore being randomly pestered...

it means that the edited nicnt file is wrong.

it is not a kontakt version problem.

using an existing snpid is not a problem to add it, no company name also.
it can be a post edit with text editor issue loosing symbols of the nicnt file.
if not it come's from a broken machine with missing componants.

I diligently rely all that stuff to @The Pirate , he's quite the masochist so he loves it.

 

I just given up of this harp, when I tried opening the files by file browser in kontakt it just says that has a bunch of errors and them load a non-sounding player :P
