Salsa is easy. When you hear the word "salsa" just respond "Blah blah blah Tito Puente." I mean come on, I know nothing about salsa but I know that.

For the record, I voted for @The Pirate based on the fact he knows more about music. You had me at "clarinet panned right" on Coltrane lol. Also, Kraftwerk is a f****n gem.

 

Vro what you wrote is exactly what Wikipedia says. You did not mention anything new BUT that shit that salsa comes from Africa. I just want to know WHO says that salsa came from Africa? WHO? Only a clown who does not care about embarrassing himself will make such a statement. Of course, after you said that Coltrane played the clarinet, this is not going to surprise anyone. What is next? that Rock and Roll originated in China?

Answer My Question , Almost 5 days and you can not say a word..... Maybe You don't know

 

A long time ago in NYC I bought a keyboard stand from some near-do-wells at the Canal Street Flea Market (after it moved from Green Street/Canal to across the street on Canal) that turned out to be hot, stolen from Tito Puente's keyboard player (I had no idea he had a keyboard player). I wasn't well versed in Salsa, having eaten more of it with tortilla chips than having listened to it during those times in little, grimy NYC diners woofing down fried plantains and black bean breakfast burritos. I was into other genre and never really hung out with many Puerto Ricans beside my football teamate John Garcia, the one who turned me on to Pink Floyd and who almost got me and fellow teamate Wayne Blackman (lived in the LeFrac City projects where I almost also died, but that's another story) beat up after yelling "SPICS" at like 8 guys listening to "El Rey" on their 1st floor terrace in Corona. We ran for like a mile at full throttle to evade those carbons who jumped off that terrace and hit the ground running to stomp on our asses. Being 13 was interesting hanging out in Queens. I'm glad that I survived.

I've always enjoyed the before mentioned Reuben Blades' music as well as his wonderful acting. He's one talented mutha.

I still believe that The Pirate and George Michelle are one and the same.

Im lucky enough that me and the pirate met just because of that thread some people needs privacy because of who they are or just because they want to. Go to my thead and read , check and you will know who im hehe , I'm not hiding or denying being George Michelle, those who try to make the big reveal of who Im were just trying to get attention on this thread. Those kind of people will never meet The Pirate .
