Midi editor?

    I'm a newbie of Reaper now and have been learning it through Youtube. Since I began to use the midi editor, I found it is pretty different from other DAWs.

    1) I can't add more than 4 notes. As you can see in the first pic, Reaper automatically duplicates the notes on the incorrect location when I expanded the room. How to add more than 4 notes freely like Cubase or Studio One?

    2) Same in the normal edit window. It just automatically duplicates the notes.

    3) What is the grey lines? When I dragged them, it acted something weird. Scary Reaper!

    4) What is the shortcut for duplication? I'm not asking ctrl+drag to right.

    1) right click with the mouse on midi item - item settings - Uncheck loop item at source,
    i think its going to solve your first 3 issues

    i'm pretty sure you can disable this permanently from preferences ctrl+p , somewhere there :p if you need help let me know again

    4) dublicating notes?

    i usually hold right click with the mouse and select the notes then (press ctrl c) and them place the time cursor where you want the notes to be placed again and paste with ctrl v

    this would only be beneficial for many notes together

    another way would be to exit the midi editor and use the ctrl + drag to the right as you said on the whole midi item

    Cool! It works. I also found ctrl+D duplicates the notes. Thanks!
