    Hey AudioSexers,

there been some posts in the news section about Snowden, Prism an/or Tempora, and people already talked about the topic.

But I thought I might be a good idea to make a general threat for the whole topic, I'm interested in what you guys think.

Do you think these programs are necessary to provide safety, or do you feel that your privacy is violated?

Do you think the collection of billions of data of mostly 100% innocent people is reasonable, or would you say it would make more sense to concentrate this monitoring where it makes sense (I mean its not really a secret that there are places on the web where really bad people cooperate, and NO I dont talk about warez)

DO you think this whole surveillance thing will get worse in future, or do you think we have a chance to avoid it?

And my last question: Are you even affected by Prism or Tempora? I mean nobody can know for sure, but maybe you are from a country where the programs dont operate.
Im from germany, and we are one of the main targets of Prims (Yeah :headbang: :beg: )

The very idea that we have to compromise privacy for security is against the spirit of what a democracy is about. Both 9/11 and the Boston Mararthon attack could have been prevented had these idiots read the fucking reports that they had a long time prior to the events. They just want to spew that security nonsense because they think that people will lap it up which sadly they do. And by the way practically every government on earth has similar technologies to some degree or other. It is every person's responsibility to hold these thugs accountable. If more people don't get involved then we will slip further and further into totalitarian dictatorships. Mark my words: this is the single greatest threat that we all now face and if we don't do something about it forget about a real future.

Terrorists knows about spy-programms and they will try to avoid such things like PRISM (don't use internet for example). It's much easier to spy on good people rather than bad people, but we don't know what the REAL target is. Maybe it's industrial espionage?

I think they need all this data so when the super AI is built it has something to look at and work with
Imagine having the intellectual ability to scan all that data and find patterns in it for just about anything
I also think they record everything, Obama said that they do not listen to your calls, he never said anything
    about not recording them :snuffy:
in the next 20 years, the jobs will go, the metal droids, they will take over from the meat droids  :bleh:

The kid who was in the transformer movies , had an interview on the tonight show
2008 or so, where the FBI consultant on the movie, played him back a telephone call he had 2 years before 2006
just to show him what they could do

Maybe we need this to enter some galactic federation, everyone needs to be tracked and tagged :dunno:

6,668 U.S. service members have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom
    God bless them all

I think about 2 to 3 times the service men and women have died , than in the attack of 911
somewhere between 3 to 5 trillion dollars to finish off this mess
5 to 7 Apollo like programs to get us off of oil and fix other thing in society in the USA
just a big scam , wasting lives, wasting money, now the money is spent and their is no extra money to do beneficial things
so we must stay on the spigot of big oil, just where they want to keep the junkies paying on and on
Iraq is still a mess killing each other off ,
Get off of oil , let it go back, to black goo that oozed out of the ground 150 yrs ago, and they will have no power and we will have no Terrorists
The USA has supplied both sides in all these stupid wars. we give them arms up front, to some dictator , and money up front
then he gets over thrown , they use the weapons to fight and kill us , we go in with more weapons and more money to fix the mess
the only people that benefit are the military industrial complex, lets just pay these guys off up front,
no lives lost and a lot cheaper

That caught my attention too, by now everything is more than obvious, it's the same old pattern, they make a madness than come up with solution, that's how they roll for ages, question their every move, because nothing is happening without a reason and more than few motives behind it

I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

One thing everyone ignores is that it's not the US government doing the spying, it's the corporations doing the spying on behalf of the US government! The corporations have the files and emails stored, all the NSA has stored is videos and phone calls and metadata that connects relationships between people. So who is doing the industrial sabotage? Could it be maybe Microsoft has access to other corporations' data? Do they maybe look at it to copy what other corporations are developing? Ever notice how Microsoft always have a copy ready of something (even though it's usually shit LOL)? How about these other companies? Google is in all kinds of businesses besides search engines now. What about Google employees starting their own businesses thanks to info and resources from Google?

The fact is, they've created this ring of spying that no other country has. Not because of the internet, but these corporations. The operating systems, the mobile devices, GPS, the search engines, the social networking sites... they're all US corporations. The world only has itself to blame for giving up their privacy and security to these self-serving, for profit organizations. It's a scheme to control the world. Terrorism was the excuse to get people to agree to it!

    @Lord GaGa:

Don't misunderstand me. I did not want to say that all orientals are stupid camel drivers. I just wanted to say that these people who allegedly has flown the planes were students. 20 minutes later the police found their van somewhere, in its glovebox a manual "how to fly a plane". Hello???
    This is not a joke.

The database that "Affordable Healthcare" collects is worse than the NSA:

What exactly happened? I'd be happy to do it for you since it would be a lot easier for me (I mod there as well). Let me know what thread and what exactly you would like me to remove and I'll batch delete all the posts there.

One of the greatest problems historically is that it IS NOT the intelligent people who get their way in all things. Thus solutions are not solutions since intelligence is not the standard by which solutions get utilized. More often the quick fix takes care of the day. Deep thought and planning especially today with pet computers is a thing of the past. In fact the USSR was destroyed by bureaucracy just as shall be the USA.

If you change on word in an agencies name like instead of NSA - call it NSB National Security Bureau, or Central Intelligence Bureau - then you will understand that when dotting the i and crossing the t become more important than ideological notions like freedom, then you will understand that freedom is a thing of the past, as is the US Constitution. Destroyed by bureaucracy, by proper form filing and passing the buck. At some point the oil smoothing society will be burned out by too much spinning in place.
