Hi everybody, having a tricky time installing a version of sonarworks reference. I think the instructions presume a certain amount more IT literacy than I currently possess

Stuck on Steps 2 and 4 the following text, how do i block access to the items listed in 2., and what files do i replace in step 4 with the patched.7z file. Thanks in advance, hope I didn't ask too nonsensically.


[1] Installation

1.Uninstall previous versions.
You can clean up by removing the folder bellow.

WIN : %LOCALAPPDATA%\Sonarworks\Reference 4
OSX : ~/Library/Sonarworks/Reference 4
~/Library/Preferences/com.sonarworks.*.plist

2.Block the access to the below.
Hosts patch is included for Windows if you know how to.

activation.sonarworks.com
updates.sonarworks.com
analytics.sonarworks.com

3.Install Reference 4.
Don't run the software yet.
If it runs, close it.

4.Replace files to our patched binary.
Main Program, VST/RTAS/AAX Plugins are included.

 

WIN: Net Limiter 4
OSX: Little Snitch 4

You will replace the files you have already installed (Sonarworks Reference 4 Studio Edition 4.4.0.156) with the patched files that are in Sonarworks_Reference_440_OSX_Patched.7z

 

same problem, after transferring the file i have an error message that sad that is impossible open the application (with patch program)
I'm using mac

 

Which version of MacOS? Works fine in Mojave

 

Mac os catalina, i think the problem is just the patch or maybe the way how i have copy the patch

 

I think recent MacOS versions with more strict security policies don't allow Apps being launched anywhere else but from Applications folder
