"It is the silence, in which creativity and problem solving can be found."
    Eckhard Tolle

Summertime, holiday season, time to chill.

Some of us are currently too tired to make their own music. Hopefully you still like it to listen to music?
If so, here's a possible "anti-sorrow" gift for you. It's the preliminary result of my creative work of the last week.

    Some explanations:
I usually create long ambient tracks for the use in meditation, depth psychology, trance states and shamanic rituals
(with and without the use of entheogens), for the purpose of self-discovery, insight, self-healing.

It's travel music, intentionally made for travels to the inner realms. Multi-layered and permanently modulating Drone-Mixes are the basis for my
work with people in non-ordinary states of consciousness.

I am more of a music shaman than a musician in the conventional sense. I take well-prepared Drone Sets like this and play them during the sessions of my people.
Everything else happens live, using my own loop set - and real frame drums. Depending on the atmospheric situation and the desired effect i add different rhythm and instrument layers,
to obtain a continuous voltage arc and a best possible session flow. I'm sort of a "bon voyage uncle", responsible not just for the musical setting,
but also for the fulfillment of peoples collective and individual needs and wishes during their experiences with altered states.

The music for each session is unique and was never recorded. This is currently changing. So now i sit here, adding drum layers and other stuff,
(similar to what can already be heard - delicately - in one of the four tracks), experimenting with effects - and get grey hair,
because i was asked by a good (musician) friend to publish a CD together with him.. :wow:

My main sets are averagely 3-4 hours long. Here you get two hours of my newest preparation set.
The live session music is - based on insights of modern consciousness research - divided into a rhythmic part, a dramatic part, and a meditative part.

This comes to you in original wave format. I do not want to give you shitty mp3's. Anyway it kills the audible subtility of the Drones. :snuffy:

Lay down, close your eyes, listen, and watch consciously, what happens inside. Strange and strong feelings and images might occur. Let it all happen.
Or just listen to it as background music. It often helps me to focus and concentrate on present operations, while i forget everything else around.....

You might hear choirs, while listening. No choir samples have been used. These seemingly magical effects are based on your own psyche
(different people hear different things), on interactions between the different Drone layers run into one another, and fortune/coincidence.

    Enjoy!

Heartly greetings to ArticStorm, Catalyst, Xsze and all the other friends in this forum.

P.S. This stuff might be completely different from what you're doing. Stay benevolent.
To be honest: the studio noob is afraid of the real professionals among you.....
but it doesn't mean that i am not open to criticism. Comments are welcome.

thanks for the HQ file, i agree MP3's can ruin a good ambient song that has lots of dynamic range

it will take me a bit to DL it though so ill get back to you after i give it a listen (can i suggest in the future use a host like zippyshare? there are no limits and speed is super fast)

i've been also enjoying making ambient songs recently, but nothing as long as 2-3 hours!!! wow! my longest ever is 23 mins...cant wait to hear it! (mine are a bit more in the Noise/Deconstructed arena...)

but ambient is ambient, it is nice to be able to really lose yourself for an extended period of time, let your mind wander and allow for more non-linear thought processes.

glad to see im not the only one who appreciates ambient

    cheers!!!

Ooh I am certainly looking forward to this Alraun. I could use a little relaxation time after all the madness and this has me quite intrigued. Funny how sometimes people come at just the right time with just the right vibe.

I found myself just synthesizing some timbres and playing live today with no recording. When I do that I feel like there's not pressure and I can just feel. Much more cathartic and less frustrating than when I sit down to produce.

Your lazy worthless piece of shit mode is better than most people's A game.

The individual tracks lasts between 20 Min.-1 hour.
The sessions i wrote about are 2-3 hours long.

    Me too! :mates:
i believe you. Your performance in this forum is incredible. We all appreciate that! *yes*

Yes, it's quite fascinating that these synchronicities exist.
If it feels good for you to listen to the tracks, it makes me happy.

Catalyst, i often feel the same......and forget to push the record button. These are the most precious and satisfying moments for me on the path of the musician.
I am glad there's someone who as un understanding.

In general you are a very empathic person. That impresses me. I have to say that. You are such an amazing enrichment for this forum.... *yes*

Thank you for all the kind words brother. I commit myself to the forums because I believe that the people of AudioSex deserve nothing less. You all enrich my life so it's only fair for me to return the favor if only in some small way. It's also funny that you bring up my empathetic nature because it's very true...sometimes to a fault where someone else's problems become my own. I guess I find it hard to distance myself from the concerns of those I care about. It's okay if you can do something about it but when you can't it can be very difficult to bear. Thank you again for everything. I need to get some sleep because I haven't yet but today I plan to set aside time for a deep meditation with your music. It's just too important for a cursory listen. *yes*

I can feel you. I know from my own experiences, what you are talking about. It's both a blessing and a curse. It depends......

If you were a therapist, this would become a major challenge.
If someone else`s problems become your own and you find a way out, it's a blessing.
For yourself, because you get a better understanding. For others, because you have now a better picture, what it is about and what you could do to help them on their own way out.
But in the long run it can be very stressful and is not good for the other life areas.
Did you know that the suicide rate is highest among therapists.....?

It's an art, to maintain the inner balance, if you are a sensitive person. I can tell you.....
This phenomena of mental identifications/transfers is not unidentified in modern psychology. C.G. Jung wrote much about it.

Therefore it was my biggest wish for you at the beginning of your mod job: "May he take care of his energy". :mates:
