i have a question regarding this subject...

say i want to install some nexus 2.2+(!!!) expansions on my mates PC (win) but he only has nexus version 2.2?
from what i've read this won't work, but... on my MAC i have the 'nexus contents' folder and inside are amongst others 'licenses' folder, 'presets' folder and 'samples' folder.

does the windows version also have an equivalent folder like this?

is it possible to NOT import the .nxp file and just manually import all of the expansions' files into their above mentioned paths (the windows equivalent that is) and then just importing my license keys to 'validate' it.

do you think it's possible to do this?

    Thanks!

It will NOT work unfortunately. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it.

I switched to pc years ago but there should be. It could be hidden. Sorry I can't provide a better answer but without the required Nexus update the newer expansions are useless. Nexus is great though =]

windows most definitely has 'nexus content' folder. when nexus is first installed you place the factory nexus content folder somewhere. when you start nexus for the first time it will automatically look for this folder. when you import expansions, they are extracted to this location.

also some xp's require certain versions of nexus. so all of them might not work on his 2.2
