Hey guys. I downloded keyscape today and i noticed that the release knob doesn’t really do anything. I do not have a sustain pedal in my house so i have to use a slow release on digital piano’s. Is there a way to fix this? And is there a way to tell omnisphere to always keep it on sustain? (Like a sustain function or something like that. Only for piano use)

    your keyscape with latest updates?

check setting on the keyboard you are using. could be set to organ style play.

If you are using it within Omnisphere:

EDIT PAGE - Sustain & Expression

    Sustain Modes

There are two Sustain modes available in the Footer, Standard Sustain (Mode 1) and Alternate Sustain (Mode 2). The Sustain Mode selection switches (numbered 1 and 2) allow you to switch between modes, and are MIDI-learnable switches.

    Standard Sustain (Mode 1)

When the Standard Sustain Mode is selected, using your Sustain pedal will behave like a normal Sustain function. Notes played then released will be sustained, and additional notes played will overlap and sustain. Sustains will be heard until the sound decays or the pedal is released.

    Alternate Sustain (Mode 2)

When the Alternate Sustain Mode is selected, when your Sustain pedal is pressed, notes played then released will sustain as normal, but additional notes played will cut off the previously played notes. This is especially useful when playing Rock style bass lines, and is great for certain chorded phrases as well.
The last notes played will continue to sustain until the sound decays or the pedal is released.

NOTE: Notes that are still held when playing additional notes won’t be cut off. If you play and hold a note, then play another note, both will be heard and sustained.

    Within Keyscape:

The SUSTAIN section is located on the TWEAK page, which is present in all LA Custom C7 Patches.

When the Realism button is selected, both the Pedal Up and Pedal Down layers are loaded. However, this uses more memory and can cause a CPU strain on certain computers.

When the button is OFF, only the Pedal Up layer will load and performance will be improved dramatically.

Changing the status of this button causes the samples to reload.

It's nothing to do with the op's keyboard controller. 34 years using MIDI keys and I've never heard of a setting on a controller called "organ style play". Is that a 'home keyboard' thing? And even if there was that feature, it would only apply to internal sounds, not what it was triggering.
There is no MIDI control change # that can stop the release of an external instrument just like that.

so what is the solution? I can't buy a sustain pedal because everything is on lockdown.. is there a way to make Omnisphere on a sustain mode? Because the release on the amp envelope does very little on the keyscape patches

Oh. Yeah. So you just want to extend the release of notes slightly, as per any synth can do, to compensate for lack of sus pedal?
Well if you say that the release knob doesn't do anything, I really have no idea.
This really would be The Pirate's field, I feel.
