I keep getting "Main registry key missing. Please reinstall altiverb 6" This used to work great on my old pc, but now I can't get it going again. I am trying to use it with Samplitude Pro X Suite and Sequoia 12, but it doesn't work. here are my new PC specs:

CPU - Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 Ghz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155
Motherboard - Gigabyte Intel GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)
Video - EVGA 512MB 9800GTX+
PSU - Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 850 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80
Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
RME Fireface 400

Please help! This is killing me...

 

Altiverb 6 is not for 64 bit systems,
use Jbridge
if you have problems with jbridge and samplitude
turn on the JBridge Option (Force Whole GUI refresh)

 

1. Samplitude/Sequoia come with a bridger already so no need for Jbridge.
2. We do not discuss warez on audiosex , read the rules.

The built in one's are not working... That is why I am seeking assistance. I have ordered jbridge, I tried the demo, but did not see the option for the GUI refresh, so I am hoping it will be in the final version.

 

jbridge 1.14 and up has that option,
but what i mean is that if you have problems when tweeking the plug-ins, use that option

 

That was in regards to your post on jbridge. The internal bridger works fine and Altiverb 6 works fine on a 64 bit system when we are specifically talking samplitude/sequoia.

The issue seems to be his cracked altiverb 6 from AiR and that is what I was referring to.

In this situation even a 32 bit daw still wouldn't be a solution. Didn't mean to confuse.

ok, so if in case the AIR altiberb is not the problem, probably the problem is with win7

disabled the Win7 User Account Control (UAC)and make sure your win account has admin rights, or run samplitude\sequoia as administrator,
then run altiverb to see if it is working

 

Running as admin did the trick! Thank you all for the help....I forgot that I setup links to all my programs to run as admin automatically on the old computer.

 

glad it worked, probably altiverb when launched needs to access some directories with admin rights,
Altiverb 6.3.0 improved compatibility with Sequoia, Samplitude and Sonar.

Altiverb 7 should run smoothly on win7 64bit, buy it if you can afford it

I have one more question a little bit off topic, but regarding Samp/Seq... how do I re-initialize the vst options? In version 11 there was a vst.ini folder that you would delete, and using the resetting all the ini files doesn't seem to fix the problem. Any thoughts?
