Im just wondering if its possible to play this guitar style with a Guitar VSTi. What do you think as real guitar players? Is this really just 1 guitar?

I have no Idea...I only know that there's 1 bass and 1 guitar in the clip. Of cause it could be they layered different guitars. But you also have to remember that the guitarist is Johnny Marr (one of the best guitarists in the world.

No, I don't think you could play it with a vst instrument. It's two guitars, that Telecaster that he is playing in the video as well as what sounds like a Strat with a tremelo bar that dips at the end there. You could try to relplicate it but it would probably sound wonky, not real, artificial.

Of cause the MP3 sounds like shit...its just rendered GMIDI file with the usual GM-sounds of a simple soundcard. But the MIDI File is very detailed. As far as I was able to hear, it has absolutely the correct chords, notes etc. Maybe with some Ample Sound Guitar Vsti's it could sound nice.

 

Or I will make a Synthpop version of it by replacing the guitars with some synths!
