So, my friend's auntie in her 80s, already with other health problems, died of the virus 2 days ago.

And just a few hours ago, I watched my friend & neighbour's body being taken out in a body-bag. He was only 63. He did have bad COPD.
But 2 days ago he looked fine.

And I now realise that I had it back in January. Only now do I start to feel strong again.
First was a very tickly throat cough, with a lot of sneezing as my body was trying to expel it. The next few days I got a very painful, tight chest (which I just thought was heart related, like my late father!), but breaths were not as efficient at all.
Then, a flu which put me in bed for a week, where I was having to sleep 18 hours minimum.
It's only after I researched the symptoms that I realised the similarities.
But we are all different, so this is just one of the scenarios.

There is quite a large community of Thai people in the nearest town, and Thailand has many links with the Chinese, so we were hit very early on and schools were shut due to confirmed cases; although this was not mentioned in the various media at all.
The Beeb were saying "why aren't schools being shut?", and we were like "uh, wtf, they are!"
And of course the denial of 'pandemic' for so long, when it already was, is just to chill out the avid news watcher who believes everything.

It seems the fear of all of this may be what tipped him over the edge.
And it's possible it would have happened regardless of the 'virus'.
I'm just sad. Somebody you see everyday and spend time with dying. All last year we spent many hours counsel, talking of all the struggles he had had in his life since a child. Scanning his life's worth of photos and talking about the good times.
I'm glad we did it. It all makes sense now.

there has been a HUGE rise in domestic murders here since the lockdown. but only a couple of death of people who happened to maybe have corona when they died.
