1a) you have to set the Library Folder manually and there you can add your samples folder aswell
1b) or you do it with teh 3 left free Folder slots(b).

    ill make a screenshot.

    here is the screenshot:

    2) so far i know this is working without being caught.
    3) LP could be low pass and p= pass - need more information, because the LP is used a few times as shorting in Music.

I'm positive that I already answered your question about EP vs. LP in the last thread you started. Am I going to have to answer it every few days or is it possible for you to read what I already wrote?

My previous response directly from your "how to change the tempo/bpm of an mp3" thread:
An LP is a full album while an EP has only a few songs so basically an EP is between a single and a full album. Next time don't be lazy because in the time you typed that you could have already gotten your answer had you looked it up. GIYF (Google Is Your Friend)

Not a problem, not everyone speaks English as a primary language. I hope the information helped you out. Have a good one.

Single = 1 song, EP extended play, 3/4 songs, LP Album 9+ songs

I think EP's came about from groups doing demos for record companies but they were then released also.

It's all part of the process. It's already been ingested so just sit back, relax and let the catalyst do it's work.

You can just drag them into the track list or the playlist from your browser. I suggest you take a look at the manual because it can get you started with using the program.

    Fun history:

    LP record
    Code:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LP_record
    Extended play
    Code:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_play
If you hear people talk about seven inch (7"), ten inch (10"), twelve inch (12") als these terms refer to vinyl (or before that shellac) record formats.
    Code:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record
Or terms like '33 1/3', '45' those terms refer to the speed at which records were played. Before that you had 78s (sometimes people just call them 'Shellacs', because that's what they were made from. If you drop them they break into pieces). These were played at 78 rpm (revolutions per minute).

    Even Shellacs archeology:
    Code:
    http://grahamdunningreagarden.wordpress.com/2010/06/17/pieces-of-broken-shellac-records/
LP could also mean 'Low Pass filter'. P could mean 'Pitch'. Depends on the context.

Not a problem. Coincidentally I have worked in database/networking administration, programming, etc. myself. I want to learn all I can about music because it's the only thing that's keeping me from completely losing my mind. And there's nothing to be sorry about friend, questions are a sign that your mind is working. I always say you never know where a question might lead you.

To answer your MIDI question: MIDI is basically note and timing information but no audio. It tells a synthesizer which notes to play back. I believe Ableton has some new facilities in version 9 where you can convert audio to midi but it's not perfect so you may have to tweak the results. I'm not currently using Live so I haven't experimented with this feature. Here's a video to answer your Ableton Live Packs question:

Oh and maybe you would appreciate this part of our forums that I started a little while ago. You'll find plenty of videos that will help you get started in music production and there are tutorials on music theory, mixing, mastering, plug-ins, etc. with more being added all the time. I really think that they could be invaluable to you on your journey: AudioSex Academy

Not a problem my friend, glad we could help. It's really cool that you used to build amplifiers and speaker enclosures, that certainly is a useful skill to have.
