Hey Guys, Gareth here just wondering what is happening with the drums in the last part of the song, and how can I emulate that! I know its definitely a lot of snare and cymbal work and (some compression)? I am not a drummer so please help me out!

Toms and Snare reverberation.

 

- drums multitrack ( with the room track trashed )
- filters,
- distortions ( Trash2)
- reverbs ( 3 = short gate rev.; plate reverse; Room modulated)
- waveshaper ( bitcrusher or Biscuit or …)
- m/s work = begin mono then progressively open widen.

i just want to add more info to *davea suggestions ,

rotary speaker - here a free plug SpinBug

automation on the volume ,reversed rev, distorions and filters
room kit mic compressed so hard it’s just distortion (*trashed)

in my opinion there is alot of drum\sound editing, and more than one drum kit playing,
probably they Resampled drum parts too *yes*
