freedb.org shutdown

    FYI: freedb.org and its services have been shut down on March 31st of 2020.

    The freedb.org service has stored information about several million CDs. Among other things, various ripper programs (such as Exact Audio Copy) connect to it and automatically get the information for the music tracks. However, it will end at the end of March 2020. Service will be discontinued according to a message on the website. MAGIX, who appears as the owner, is still uncertain whether the service will continue in a different way.

    I hope this is an April Fool joke, because if it isn't then ripping CDs it gonna be a pain in the ass.

    @Pagurida I can't contact to you via pm. I have a question. Logo of what program do You have on avatar? It's very oldschool style. I saw it somewhere. It's similar to protools but I can't find same as yours.

    MAGIX = One of the worst audio software company ! Doesn't believe there comes anything for free.

    Tone2 would be a higher rang
    Vengeance Producer Suite too

    Magix is poor quality for sure but, the other two damaged my PC with their stuff .( Avenger with the bad CodeMeter stuff)
