I often mix for clients that are in different cities and it gets quite annoying guessing what the client wants the mix to sound like then rendering and sending samples of experimental work for approval. It would be nice if the client and I could do like a "conference call mixing session". Does anyone know of a program that allows this?
VNC and TeamViewer can share screens but what about moderate to high quality audio? preferably windows and mac compatible.

there are a few DAW plugins that should work, one that springs to mind is http://code.google.com/p/wormhole2/

 

If you've got two PCs just send audio from your DAW's audio interface directly into the line in or interface of the other PC. Have that audio sent to Skype or some other videoconferencing app. You can do it with one PC but it requires an audio interface that has a loopback option (uses a DSP onboard mixer) similar to how "Stereo Mix" works in Windows. Also look up "Virtual Audio Cable".
