That you do not have anything else installed but Music related software and use it exclusively for Music production.

    Yes and no.

It started out as a dedicated machine, but I got bored waiting for one of the other pc to load up and the KVM switch I had broke. That's when i thought bugga it, I'll just put on a short cut to here. Now it has become the pc I use for almost everything (that I don't mind the wife seeing!)

Yes, kind of. The machine is only used to make music, sure, but it's got some dev tools installed on it (namely Python) so I can run and tweak some generative MIDI scripts on it and such.

Not for music production but media production

Some apps like Premiere Pro and Davinci can use VST´s
And since some companies are just a***holes about licensing 2 or more PC’s this is the way for me.

At the beginning, my computer was dedicated to audio only but after a few months I started to use it for everything else.

As a result of this, I will probably have to buy another SSD soon.

Since today to be precise, I've been using the same pc for basically everything I do, but from today on, 1 music production pc, no internet, 1 e-mail/social media pc (quite old and slow, but it was cheap), and my laptop which I only use for DJing.

I've actually got two computers, or rather OSes, dedicated only for music production. I find it very important that the OS for audio is optimised for it and not bloated with shit not needed for audio, because I hate to encounter unnecessary problems and/or get distracted with unrelated stuff when I'm making music.

If you don't know how to make dual boot, one can always use a VirtualBox, VMWare, or Parallels virtual machine with a dedicated OS for Internet and other stuff.

I prefer Linux for Internet, and Windows 7 for audio, but I find Mac OS also very usable for both, too, although I don't use it personally [but I deal with it on a daily basis at other places and recommend it to everybody over Windows 10 garbage].
