    Hello,
A while ago I upgraded my PC I got a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and added an NVME. When I first did it, I couldn't find a way to put windows on my NVME without the USB so I gave up and left it where it was. Well now, the time has come and I really want to put windows on it and use it as a bootable drive. I Tried to do the bootable USB method with the windows tool, but every time I got into the installation window after boot it would freeze and not work. I have tried nearly everything to fix it and It just isn't working. Download ringtones free at: ringtonesfree.info
I am looking for a way to do it without using a USB or disk. I am currently running on my HDD so I have access to the NVME drive. Is it possible to install windows on it using my desktop before booting?

1 - Download Windows 10 iso file from Microsoft website.
2 - Download Windows USB/DVD download tool (you could use it without having to download iso, but it is recommended that you download your own iso file) from this link.
3 - Insert a clean Flash drive into your machine and using the USB tool downloaded earlier create the bookable flash.
4 - Restart and boot with the drive you just made, (if you don't know how, refer to your motherboard manual...)
5 - After booting into the install utilty, select the NVME drive, delete all partition and select install (unless you plan on partitioning your drive, you don't have to manually create a partition, the install utility you will do it for you manually)

Do you have the latest BIOS update for your board?
Do ypu have the latest firmware for your nvme drive?
Did you configure the bios correctly so that the nvme drive is visible and can be accessed by the installer?
Does it need extra drivers which are not included in the win10 installer maybe?
You could try cloning ths ssd to the nvme drive as a work around. I am sure there are tutorials on YouTube.

Step 1: Use the free tool RUFUS ( https://rufus.ie/ ) to make a bootable USB stick from your Win10 iso. Select GPT and NTFS and UEFI in the optional spots. Make sure you have a fast enough, properly working usb3 stick. (Alternatively you can connect a SATA DVD-R drive and burn your Win10 iso to a bootable dvd disk and boot/install from that.)
Step 2: Make sure the nvme ssd is connected properly. If it is, it will appear as a disk drive in the bios.
Step 3: Select boot from usb by pressing F8 while the comp is booting or by changing the boot sequence to USB as first option in the bios and saving it.
    Step 4: Install Windows.
    Happy computing :)
All these are good as long as you have Win10 iso. Win7 installation on modern hardware is a different case and has been explained many times (even today) on another thread.
    Cheers

Why not just clone your system over to the NVME?

Yep, he can definetely do that, although the nvme ssd and drivers must be already in the system and installed.
But it's good he learns how to properly install Windows on a modern system, don't you think ? :)

Yep you 're right. I could also comment that the internet & yt is full of such guides.
But you could also agree that learning comes from practicing, so we gave him the info, it's time he gets the job done with the info at hand :)

Here is how you format and install a new SSD (nvme is same):

Then clone the system over to the nvme. Easy as shit
